​@@to2llykingCan you explain how God was created? Or how was the universe generated? I doubt it, and the same applies to the Entity. A being of cosmic proportions that wanders through the omniverse is... simply impossible to understand or to capture a specific origin (taking into account that the Entity does not have a timeline itself). That is the magic of the "character" and the terrifying thing about it; a being completely unknown but who is so great that he can even alter an entire reality at his disposal if he wishes.

I think casting is a double entrenade. Casting as in casting an actor because they're filming a movie in the story. Casting as in casting of metal which Frank Stone has done. In DBD, fictional events are real in alternate universes (like Resident Evil). I think the events of the movie Frank Stone might become real due to the Entity's influence.

I’m starting to think that there is probably a cult that knows about the entitys existence and its trials, and probably worship the entity and see the trials as literal games, much like that of a sport. I wouldn’t be surprised that the original inhabitants are part of said cult, and kidnap newcomers in order to sacrifice them to the entity, while being extremely “subtle” about it.

I do hope that if they show the entity in Frank Stone i can finally see its true form it breaks through the clouds as it showed in the first trailer🤩 my husband and i hypothesize that its possibly a spider do to the way the legs or tendrils look when it kills the players in dbd🤔. I also understand if they dont show it because thats wat makes dbd interesting, especially the entity🙂. It's a creature possibly lovecraftian (at least in my opinion) that is able to bring killers into its own dimension and who knows wat else it's capable of (ability wise). Still, i would love to see its true form as an actual playable killer in the future, but that's wishful thinking on my part, lol😅

Getting increasingly concerned I still haven't seen any gameplay. I've seen some in engine cutscenes, but I have not seen any footage of a player at the wheel, what the gameplay loop is like, what I can expect to experience when the controls are actually in my hand.

I’m a big fan of dbd and a few supermassive games I’ve played I’ve enjoyed. I feel like the more I hear and see about this game it seems to have nothing related to dbd about it and maybe they bought the name catch fans attention? Maybe I’m wrong and it all ties in somehow and that’s part of the allure to the game 🤷‍♂️

Keep in mind that the eer that created all of Dead By Daylight is The Entity: A cosmic being that travels throughout the universe, dimensions and timelines at its own will. He kidnaps people and other beings from any world (whatever it may be) for his own satisfaction. ANYTHING fits with Dead By Daylight, Or why do you think we have Resident Evil, Silent Hill, DnD, Saw, Alien, Chucky, Alan Wake or Lara Croft in Dead By Daylight?

This is strictly my opinion and take on the design, but it would make sense that the origin of such horror within the mill will have no signs of life or overgrowth even years later. That unique spot would refuse to let life grow because it would feed on it. Make it so branches, roots, leaves, etc. are growing around areas except for this inviting but unsettling void.

And shows us some small little Glimpses of matches being played and no one sees or knows they're being watched. And try to escape but one of them films the entire thing until the cover gets blown and someone gets left behind but the footage is still alive. No one believes them and they make a Second Part to the game of them trying to take the entity down.

This is pretty ridiculous as far as criticism is concerned. That's what you're worried about? Their games have always had moments of uncanny valley. Especially the more realistic they've become. The Quarry looked absolutely stunning despite a few janky moments

Feels like a bit of an overreaction, if I’m being entirely honest. The car behaviour is a little bit janky, as are that character’s facial expressions in that clip, but it’s nothing too jarring or distressing, imo, and par the course for the genre in general. The overall product looks polished enough; it’s a bit unreasonable to expect an insanely high level of graphical fidelity and complexity here, considering the size of the studio and the standards set by the genre. It’s kitschy horror in the end and I’d say this looks pretty good.

​@@egel7736 I want to remind everybody of the bugs (visual + gameplay) that occurred in The Quarry, Man of Medan, House of Ashes, etc. that are still in there and impacted the level of immersion. I'm hoping for the best Frank Stone we can get, but I stay skeptical. Especially seeing that they chose unpolished assets for a commercial content piece. Didn't they have anything better? And if so, will the quality change be upped they release? We're all paying 40-50€ after all.
