When this gets published, you should also record an audio version. There is something magical in hearing the author read his own poems!

I cannot wait for this to be published. And on Lancelot, I don't expect to get the whole package like Galahad. But I love the encounter with the Emperor Justinian in Dante's Paradiso. Dante asks him if he isn't disappointed not to be in a higher heaven. "Not at all," the great man replies. "I am grateful to be here at all!" I think that I will feel like that. I would be glad to have any vision of God even if it almost killed me like Lancelot.

I sincerely hope that this will be published soon. Having followed its progress(and with the upcoming publication of my own, small book), I understand the gargantuan task you have undertaken here, made even larger by your regular engagements and other work. I am grateful that you have updated us on its progress. My favorite part, though, is the joust with the faerie and his "barky skin," such imagery!

That was quite lovely Malcom, and more than worthy of acid free and the best of Blake's attentions. But poor Lance! It seems all quite 'whirlwind and Job' for him at the moment, whichever door he chooses.

Malcolm, what a fantastic episode. We are all excited for the publication of your Grail poems. I was watching on our tv and listening to your reading when my wife entered the room. She said it was beautiful and asked me if it was Tennyson I was listening to you read. I told her, no, it was your own poem. She then simply said, “Wow, wow, wow!” :-)

I can't really say I'm religious anymore to truly appreciate the story. However, I can appreciate the continuation of the Arthurian legend genre. Truthfully, when I read King Arthur, all I picked on was the massive politics and games him and lady Guinevere were playing with each other. (despite all the people dying because of it.)
@MalcolmGuitespell Жыл бұрын
ah that political stuff is a later overlay and not the real story
@NY_Mountain_Man Жыл бұрын
@@MalcolmGuitespell The macro-political stuff, yes. However, the disguised open marriage stuff between Arthur and Guinevere was certainly there unless you're distinguishing between 19th century translations. And if you tell me they didn't have an open marriage, I have a bridge to sell you. Hehe.

I have two questions. 1. After listening to this episode of “A Spell in the Library,” it sounds like you believe in the Real Presence. Is that correct? 2. Do you believe that the real Holy Grail is located in the Cathedral of Valencia in Spain?
