I'd love to hear a bit of reflection on Narnia and Advent. To be stuck in a winter where Christmas never comes.

As a Davidson man I will begrudgingly respect Yale haha. Coming through that door really stimulated some neurotransmitters, lecture always irked some but to me it was a place of serenity. Learning and striving alongside talented peers is truly a God sent experience.

I too enjoy a pipe. This was an interesting video, despite the God squad undertones.

You must love Jehovah your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind and with all your strength. You must love your neighbor as yourself. Jesus the Anointed is Lord! Repent and be baptized and believe the Evangelism.

Wonderful, thank you Malcolm, as always. As others have noted, the O Antiphons are still very much part of the daily prayer of the Catholic Church, in both the pre- and post-Vatican II breviaries. Malcolm will also be aware that, while the rest of the Western church always commenced with O Sapientia on 17 December, the Book of Common Prayer has it on 16 December, in accordance with the Sarum usage. This is because England, with its particularly strong devotion to the Blessed Mother - not ‘Our Lady’s Dowry’ for nothing - traditionally added another final antiphon in her honour, so had to start a day early.

Thank you, brother Malcolm, I've never heard of these types of poems, but what a great idea. I write and read prayers, asking the Lord to come in all His many ways, what a great poem you shared with us.

I have in my possession an original first edition book that was published & printed by William and Isaac Jaggard in 1622. I often think, it may have been there waiting to go to press when the works of Shakespear? were first delivered.

Thank you!!! Since I read to my sons from your Advent book every evening of Advent (we play your reading of the poems themselves from your blog) tonight we let you read to us for the 17th -- what we know as the first of The Golden Nights, or the first of the O Antiphon nights... this means Christmas is just around the corner! ♥️🎄♥️ Veni, veni O Sapientia!
