Many thanks Ray for taking the time to comment and for the lovely feedback. Yes, we're aware our music is played on Radio Seagull. They do indeed play some great music. We recorded a jingle for Pete Rosendaal - "this is Pete, on your radio" which I'm sure will be the one you've heard.

What a great catchy song..Just can't stop playing this. If this was available on vinyl like in the days before downloads then this would have been bought along with many other classic tracks over the last few months. Thanks to The Heritage show for introducing this and many other great songs by classic artists.😍😍😍

Many thanks. Unfortunately, the cost of producing either the single or album on vinyl was far too expensive for us as we’re not a well known band. Producing the album on CD with our own artwork including a booklet wasn’t an easy task either, but it’s something we’re proud of and that’s available via our website at thecathodes.com

Many thanks. And yes, you raise an interesting point. The song was written in the early/mid 80s and very much influenced by the political feeling of that time under Margaret Thatcher's government. It also seems to work quite well today and is really for anyone who identifies with the North of England. That can certainly include Scotland, I'm sure 🙂
