As a mother in Oregon, I am horrified at what they are allowing 15 yr olds to do without Parental consent or even knowledge. Prescribing someone powerful hormones without knowing their full medical history is very dangerous. Not all kids know about their full health history at 15 yrs old. Of course the surgeries are horrific at any age.

the catholic church believes that the soul combines with the body to form one unique human nature. and you can see/ hear that jason understands this teaching. a lot of his points circle back to the distinct separation from our inner world and our outer world. he even goes as far as acknowledging that gender and sexuality are on a spectrum (extreme masculinity and extreme femininity). but jason still fails to answer the question "what does the catholic church teach" in a way that is clear for the listener. the disagreement between the catholic church and gender studies is really quite simple- the catholic church believes believes that the soul is either male or female AND that god determines if the soul is male/ female. you may have noticed that their understanding of a soul and understanding of gender do not agree with one another. recognize that the church contradicts itself today and has throughout history. the values of the catholic church does not encourage you to listen to your conscious if it disagrees with their teaching. they want you to subscribe to their dogma and forfeit your own interpretation in the world.
