I think the problem with nba rating is two folded 1) two many streaming services all with different prices leading to people illegally streaming and there viewership isn’t being counted. 2) the NBA and the media cares to much about Kevin Durant, Lebron and bigger markets teams. Which leads to them overlooking the best product they currently have which is small market good chemistry basketball. Both OKC and the Cavs. The idea of this being a finals matchup should be talked about and accepted. Its simply what THIS season has proven to us so far

to their credit the NBA hyped the shit out of this game and are still posting about it today. but i agree they do way too much coverage to the big teams and a lot of them are mid. like we get it, theyre legends. but those guys are retiring soon and they need to start hyping up the new generation to get people to keep watching and know what storylines are going on. i think theyre starting to realize that and it showed this week with the amount of coverage the game got. shit theyre already even hyping the rematch next week

If Spida hit all his outside shots OKC would've been too overwhelmed before the half but to the Thunder credit we deserve to meet each other in the Finals. we get it, but chet has been out since mid november and OKC have only lost a couple games since and came in with a 15 game winning streak and just beating the celtics and knicks. yeah having chet wouldve helped, but cleveland would have game planned for him so we have no idea if its a guaranteed W a lot fo OKC fans are making it out to be. mitchell had his worst game in like 2 years. his shots fall at his normal rate its still a cavs W even with chet

I wouldn't say the thunder focused on targeting Donovan Mitchell, they didn't really send doubles at him or go extra aggressive. All they did was have a lu Dort on him. So to say they went with a strategy to Target him was a bad idea, Is inherently wrong when they just didn't. Complimenting the cavaliers for holding Shay to 31, Almost triple Donovan Mitchell's points, is very weird. They did do a good job forcing turnovers but he still got his points.

The coach made a statement after the game and said they was focused on Mitchell as a defensive strategy... and our strategy (cavs) was to let shai have his way while we beat up the paint... we didn't care about shai cuz if we focused on him too much it would give him opportunity to playmake and do more than just score... we also adjusted to everything yall did that's why it was so many lead changes... yall tried pulling away a few times but we made adjustments

Mitchell can have a cold game and we still have 2 dominate big men who will each get their 20pt double double.. and garland who can get 20 at will... every bench player that steps on court will get at least 10... that's a guarantee 100 it's a game just off regular play... we dropped 126 on yall "great defense" with our best player only getting 11pts... that's no luck bro we do it all the time

One reason the Thunder defense is in the best ever conversation is how they sucker bigs into the paint against J-Will, the opponent thinking the size advantage will work to their advantage… Cavs showed that does not work against them. Too many shooters, too many quick passes, can’t leave ANYONE open or SOMEONE is gonna lace you. Getting Chet back will be big, but I don’t think Caruso coming back moves this matchup at all. Caruso will be on Don, and we see Don doesn’t need to be productive for this team to go off.

And let’s not forget we were BOTH undefeated against the opposite conference entering last night. I’m not saying these games are easy, I’m not saying we won’t split this series, I’m just saying what makes yall defense historically great is not a bad matchup for us. If yall are gonna play to our pace then you need SGA to score 30 in order to remain in a game, we don’t need Don to do the same to win. Yall having chet back is big.. but it won't rattle the cavs... if yall play chet and hartenstien together it will clog yall lanes and make it hard to move... chet can play outside the paint but so can Mobley.. that will be a battle but Allen stays down low and will DESTROY hartenstien in the paint.... Caruso will be too focused on defense to score... if Mitchell isn't having a cold game yall are done... not to mention our bench is better than yalls and we have more intricate line ups and we deep enough to adjust to anything yall do.. having chet in the lineup will hurt you more than help you if yall just tryna play 2 bigs like Cleveland does
