I know I am a silly old man, but seeing both families working together just made my heart burst!!! You don't understand what a shining example you are to the world. (Of course, that is part of what makes you all so special.) Just keep being you and keep on plugging away. You are making a difference -- and not just to the lovely chateau!

Jobs like this are just so fun when you have several people. We had a similar area at our home and found it was a wonderful place to stay in the sunshine and be out of the wind. We would light a fire and make a bacon damper for the camp oven - an absolutel neccessity after a heavy party the night before.!!!

Brilliant episode. Hard work for you all, but will catchy music and time lapse tricks it makes a great video. So exciting to see stuff uncovered. What a great idea for a fire pit. I had one as a child made out of large barn stones. Years and years of roasting hotdogs and marshmallows over the fire are good memories. It has a relaxing comforting feel that just seems to give everyone rest at the end of a day. Not sure if it's a thing in England, but my Dad would pick small branched and whittle points on the ends for roasting multiple hotdogs or marshmallows at one time. Great memories are your for the making.
