I've never read this book but saw the movie. In many ways truly reflects what is happening today. Unfortunate many people won't realize just how dangerous this path we are headed down is until it is too late.

Usually the case. Definitely worth a read. Not a long book either.

I've never read Fahrenheit. It was written about the time I was born but I don't even remember ever hearing about it.

I'm actually pretty surprised about that, it was such a popular book just about the time you were reaching high school lol

Well done man! Yeah, I read this in high school. It seemed slow and dry compared to Martian Chronicles and basically all the sci-fi I read back then, but look where we're at now. I wanted Arthur C Clarke's, or Roddenberry's future... not this evangelical nightmare trying to drag us back to the dark ages. Hell, even a dystopia like Blade Runner is preferable to this stagnant Idiocracy.

I feel like Huxley nailed it where we are so overloaded with information that truth becomes irrelevant and indecipherable.

Fahrenheit was one of my favorite books. Right up there with 1984 and Brave New World. We used to think it was a warning against communism. Silly capitalists

All great books and all have been challenged or banned at some point.
