There is a tremendous value is having a project to occupy your time doing something you enjoy! Awesome video and great project!

Kirk Thanks and I agree. This would be a better world if more people had projects to work on rather than sitting and relying on others for entertainment. Glad you enjoyed the video. Barry

What a rewarding project, Im currently looking at hulls to do the same thing. Spent the day out in the rain checking at old Marinas. Alot of the older hulls look like they would make great cc's. i even came across a 30+ft Panga hull,lol. Amazed to even see it. THANKS FOR THE VIDEO. Its priceless to someone like myself.

GF Thanks for watching and thanks for the nice comment! Yup, lots of possibilities out there. There is a reason for that. These conversions involve a LOT of work. But for the few of us out there who don't consider work a four letter word, it can be a very rewarding journey. Barry

Hot Dog...Another long term project. At least I get to watch it real time instead of binge watching like I did with your house boat!. :-) Four Feather Crafts here at my house.

Nice project! Subscribed :) I have a sea hawk 216 myself. Rare boat here in Sweden. There is also wood in the deck where the stainless rail is attached.

Thanks to the Swedish guy! I have seen posts on your boat, somewhere. I can never find the same page on the internet twice. I am a firm believer in that if you make a little progress every day, you will make progress. So that's my goal, progress. thanks for subscribing. Barry

Cut the floor out of my Twin Vee removed all foam, put new floor, larger under floor tube for wiring, at shop having new foam and fiberglass in( Bogalousa,La)while I rewire console. I’ll be checking your wiring video frame by frame Thanks and good job

Thanks Marty. Take my approach to wiring with a grain of salt. I have had very little prior experience in full boat wiring. But so far, so good. Good luck with your project! Barry

Seen the guy at Born again boating channel use an oscillating blade for cutting out his transom? Might be an alternative to them wheels blowing up
@barrylukebuilds78943 жыл бұрын
FTGF I switched to diamond wheels shortly after this video was posted. Hugh improving! I have an oscillating tool and use it where the diamond blade won't reach. Both are indispensable. Thanks for watching Barry

Great video, very clear on just about everything. I'm soon to be 55 years young and have been looking around for something to build or restore, and I just can't decide. Anyway I do like center console steering. Keep up the good work. I'm looking forward to seeing what you decide to do with her. Oh, by the way, I was wondering when somebody would get the idea to cut the foam and use a sharpshooter or pick ax- if they can control it. Well, good luck.

cool project!....you should think about building a stairway to get in and out instead of climbing a ladder each time. looking forward to watching this come together!

Thanks Alan, and yes stairs are a good idea. We are both looking forward to watching this thing come together! Barry

They make metal cutoff wheels now.

You are correct and I have one, somewhere. Purchased it for cutting bronze but preferred the abrasive wheels. I need to go find it and try it out. Thanks for watching!

That looks like a lot of foam that if it was dried out would be usable?
@barrylukebuilds78942 жыл бұрын
Well you know hind sight is supposed to be 20 20. Mine is more like 20 40. But you are correct, I could have used a lot of that foam again. Barry

WOW, Good luck bud! This will be a fun series, wish I could help but what boat building skills I have are in steel. I mean stringers? Put steel in LOL
@barrylukebuilds78944 жыл бұрын
That would be interesting...steel stringers in a glass boat. I am sure it could be done. But due to my impending antiquity I think I will go more conventional. Thanks and looking forward to an update from your project!
