Central America is good enough to be its own continent its culturally and geographically more similar to South America not North America despite being connected to it more directly. It also has its own tectonic plates which support the isthmus and the Caribbean islands as well so if anything Central American should also include the Caribbean since the islands are form by the different Central American tectonic plates and the Nicaraguan sea rise. The whole region has a different climate pattern from both North and South America because it’s still in the tropics but north of the Ecuador it’s history also evolved separately with the mesoamerican cultures and technically southern Mexico’s tropical regions are within the isthmus of Central American both geographically and culturally different from the rest of both continents, the climate is varies greatly between small distances because of the terrain and the huge geographical differences between the pacific and Caribbean

I think Belize would also roll their eyes too... They were never a Spanish colony. Also, I agree with Panama and Costa Rica, losing their own identities to just be a state of a nation, at least for those 3 nations, I doubt they want to be lumped together with the other nations there (due to crime rate, lower education and so on.)

To the naked eye, yes they look more similar than different, but they are not, because the indigenous cultures are different in each country. That's why one state didn't work out.

They have nothing in common, the most classical Central American nations are Gutemala, El Salvador and Honduras, "the northern triangle", were they retained thier Mesitzo-indigenous cultures and Central American nationalism🇬🇹🇸🇻🇭🇳 When it comes to Costa Rica, Panama and Belize, they are more similar to African Caribbean cultures not Central American 🇨🇷🇵🇦🇧🇿 Politically Nicaragua seems like a hopeless communist dictatorship, completely unstable 🇳🇮🚩 The closest that Central American will come to unifying was the Greater Republic of Central American when Honduras, El Salvador and Nicaragua united, but at th time Nicaragua was not communist 🇸🇻🇭🇳🇳🇮

Nicaragua is also very similar to Guatemala, El Salvador, and Honduras. We have more culturally in common with them than we do with Costa Rica and Panama.

Central American = Afro Caribbean Culture Just to let you know, every single Central American country has Afro Caribbean Population, except for EL SALVADOR. And by comparing them and their culinary practices you will find out they’re the same.

Latin America or central america is more like it own region or zone that is different from South America or Northern north america

Information was good but calling your neighbors to the north “obese” was rude and unnecessary.
