I really like your approach of pausing, giving all your units orders and cutting the video such that we're thrown right back into the action. The only thing to improve from an APM perspective would be click and drag to select units instead of trying to hit the tiny label. And when you engage in CQB, always put two units into one trench, as both units can engage in melee at once. Sincerely, your Armchair General.

hello buddy I'm glad your enjoying the editing, im trying to make sure there is only the best bits in the videos while keeping in my though processes. With clicking and dragging I found it ended up selecting units adjacent , as though if one soldier was tickled by the box it would grab the whole unit so I resorted to shift clicking individual unit icons to make sure I got the units I wanted selected. yes I do aim to throw 2 units into each trench when attacking for CQC :) sometimes they end up having a bit of a spaz though like you will see in EP 4 (which is currently encoding :) ) I appreciate your feedback buddy !

Hello MoisTea! Got my hands on the game as well already and its picking my brain on how to properly assault positions,what to research and how to defend. Saw your first video and i came up with a shocking realization myself while playing. If the flanks of trenches arent covered assaulting them that way is very very easy. The AI overrun positions of my that way at least 2-3 times with me just watching because they just swarmed me! Also the AI is 100% better at using artillery to just pin down my troops and reach my trenches! :,D
@MoisTeaGaming Жыл бұрын
Hello shadow :) Oh nice ! Glad you got it, I'm loving it. I'll be doing more videos today. Assaulting positions is tricky and maybe one of the most difficult things to do properly but you can work it well if you time things correctly , suppressing the enemy for example too early for them to decimate a company before they reach the trench is heart breaking. Atm my main tactic is to just get in there in hand to hand suppressing the enemy from firing on them on the approch. Research wise, is going to depend on how you want to attack mostly , and or yo held defend for example more robust trenches down the line when seige artillery smashes them in order bombardment , or even gas masks if the enemy start using gas, Personnaly I'm getting the money I before I do anything , that down the long run is a 60% boost in income which you need for everything !! Flanking is a lot easier than a direct assault for sure , but you still have to support your troops getting there , even coming from the back of the trench is a bit easier however the side is the most out of the firing arch. Placing overlapping trenches seems to work best for me I defence , if your watched my demo gameplay you will see it worked great a few times , but like you said the ai has been improved so we shall see in the coming conflict :P
@marxel4444 Жыл бұрын
@@MoisTeaGaming Yeah, my tactic was just arty spam them. But thinking about it you need 9 supply per heavy arty strike and they need 10 to reinforce and switch out a unit. So you would need 27 to 10 to wipe a regiment for them to just replace them :,D Maybe hitting them 2 times to make them low strengh and then pin them with light guns to melee rush them is the best tactic early on. Also you need to get enough units into a battle to get enough supply when attacking since that doesnt seem to draw from your global supply bank and refills without cost. You just need to cover the front with enough units if the pull 5 or 8 korps together and easiely overwehlm 2-3 once of you :D But yeah im gonna watch your videos the next days for inspirations and wreck my brain comming up with good stragegies. The economy research for 1600 gold per turn is a must but takes time, the one that reduces building cost of buildings is another one,200 off per building and you can start to spread hospitals and such cheaper :) I would love to go for the Gold = Supply conversion rate for that is so far in and i would lack in arty and much else in the meantime :,D
@MoisTeaGaming Жыл бұрын
@@marxel4444 weighing up the supply cost for actions is key, which you seem to have sussed out well, personally I'm not using heavy arty ATM, I feel like I don't have enough supply as it is ! not only that but the light arty reloads soooo much faster, which suits me well. once I have more supply I will be doing a combination of both, to start causing some casualties on the back lines which will be occupied by my forces last. One thing I'm considering is attacking, knowing I cant get a great victory but hoping the enemy choose to attack, cause them lots of casualties and then just call for a cease fire ... would like to know if its worth it, some experimentation is needed. when new tech is available ill be able to come up with some fresh strategies to hopefully smash the enemy EVEN MORE !!

The animations could do with some work , , sometimes the men look at bit stupid , running right next to the enemy ignoring them ... and then hitting them with their clubs only once they are comfy in the trench . @the author and the audience: What is the best way in your opinion to win this game on Veteran level as the Germans? I hoped in my first campaign to win via defensive posture as the race to Calais overstretched the German supply lines, between 1915 and 1917 I focused on supplies and reinforcements It's September 1917 I have 22K Gold and 3K supplies, I haven't lost a single region all Allied attacks failed...my national will is 888 and the Allied is 457...but this campaign ends in 1919 so I don't think I can bring it to 0 and win it defensively...or reach Paris...will I still win it having more NW points at the end of the campaign? What did you guys do to win it? What would you advise? More offense with infantry? I wanted to have tanks and gas before attacking...the time constraint pisses me off...and I noticed that the mechanic upgrade doesn't repair the tanks when they aren't in combat...Does the "Ride Along Service" work for you?
@MoisTeaGaming Жыл бұрын
hello soc :) Im still doing my campaign on elite but with the allies , and immediately took a offensive stance but that's just me , supplies have been a problem, money has been strained , men have died, the enemy countered and stopped our assault when they got tanks. however once we got new tactics and tech , got back on our feet in a month or two and had a way to deal with the new german tank threat we pushed on again, im now at the point where im surrounding the enemy capital. Defensive posture i understand and makes sense however attacking actually gets you somewhere. you have LOADS of cash , so get pushing, time is running out for you so really your going to have to try and cut off a piece off from supply, find your best cut and go for it. that will hammer the national will hard. the campaign doesnt just end at 1919 , it carries on but at some point you will get it so national will reduces at a rate of around 30 on both sides until someone gives in ... going your defensive tactic will still win you the war as long as your national will is higher. Be aware , attack in cruel but grab your rifle, attach your bayonet , and charge the enemy regardless cheers for commenting :)

I don't like how the troops of each side run past each other without fighting, seems so janky, also all the troops face the wrong direction in the trench, which makes sense trenches were designed "one way fire" but surely it shouldn't be impossible to face the enemy and have a debuff on fire.
@MoisTeaGaming Жыл бұрын
