My one big peeve about the 172 ( and many other Cessnas) is the push/pull throttle.

They definitely were before the market spiked haha. Great airplanes, but I'd say it's best if you can get one at a deal without buying a maintenance nightmare (which is rare). You certainly have to search meticulously these days.

172s are great until you find out how much Textron charges for a new one. Then you wonder what planet you're on.

@@Maniac742 yeah… best to stick with the old unless you’re a fancy new flight school with a lot of money lol
