Shane has been challenged to make this vintage Paul Bunyan recurve in to a two-piece takedown bow. This video ended up being too long so we split it into two parts.

From Paul Bynon, the most common model was the green Longbow where when seeing for sale on e-Bay, 1--20 handle was removed in 1950's or 1960's and a leather grip or leather spiral wrap grip was added as they were copying no shelf ASL as used in archery scenes as well as made by Howard Hill in 1930's Robinhood movie or a square limbed bow as everyone on Robinhood's group used in 1960's 3 season TV Robinhood Series where bows limb was close to an English longbow but off in dimensions as a proper English Longbow has a D shaped limb where back is rounded.

If I remember properly they had a lot of hand shock.

@@greatplainsbow the best models of all fiberglass bows made in 1950's to 1960's are Paul Bynon and very end 1950's--1989 Ben Person Bows where by 1986 Ben Person was only making max of 40--38 pounds for all models. Ben Person had a machine used for his bows, so he was pressing fiberglass into squares of correct poundage where all that was needed was shaping for model. Some of worst before 1980 were Bear Because Fred Bear considered all fiberglass inferior garbage, however he did make one basic model over 35 pounds ore hunting Brown Bear an all brown bow 45 pounds only as most models were 35 pounds or under and a bunch in kids sized models where due to size stacking is easily done. Indian had some bad ones mainly due to grip area on most popular model/models which Bear sort of copied in Firebird model only made worse. In mid 1970's Bear had a main target bow model called a 76'r, made in 1975 only after archery was back in Olympics in 1972 after being gone since 1908 London as final Olympics as a sport. Bear 76'r model was using all fiberglass limbs on a metal riser where riser was using a takedown limb and Bow model had weights of 25--35 and a 38 pound Limb. Bow was using a built in pin sight where now on Amazon you can buy a cheap T hunting design using a target sight design or a same model in design only com with a single pin for actual hunting like some kind of gap for use. Now for good non kids models of all fiberglass, Bear has 2 adult models where Titan is be and Chinese Junxing model sold by SAS as Robinhood/a UK bow brand under different name and a one piece all fiberglass/fiber resin English longbow looking on Amazon for good models where you buy only from sellers selling up to 120 pounds, the 2--3 piece takedown models of same English longbow are good in up to 70 pounds with brass or 7076 Aluminum but a stainless-steel 75/80+ pounds are hand shock because of using steel and draw weight. Also is a 3 piece dual sided only 28 pound at 28 inches model from Junxing where limbs are hollow fiberglass or plastic glass a type of modern fiberglass but riser/handle area is all a car bumper type plastic.

@@greatplainsbow ASL of all fiberglass have some of least hand shock I have ever seen from an ASL or flat limb bow where most brands models used similar hand grip shape as bow in video a notched lightly contoured grip or some kind of odd egg like notched grip. I am not sure how currently in USA on Amazon the one piece English longbow compares to a real English Longbow of Yew or similar good wood like Osage Orange or Mulberry/Cherry in same weights going 45 pounds or more for a good comparison on hand shock, but my brother has a good model at 60 pounds made of fiber resin as opposed to lesser pure resin models selling for same money.
