The Challenge of the Mountains - Stalking the Elusive Chamois in Deep Snow

The extreme challenge of the mountains in France awaits us, as we pursue the coveted chamois, a Capra species that lives in the steep and rugged mountains. The weather conditions in late winter which are constantly changing, with the possibility of a lot snow will add another layer of difficulty to the quest. Excited to share the highs and lows of one of most challenging hunts in Europe after the the elusive mountain ghost, the chamois.
Sustainable hunting is one of the most valuable tools in the preservation of land and wild game. The future of wild animals across the globe is dependent on our ability to sustain their constantly shrinking habitat.
So the question remains. How does hunting help sustain and preserve the wild lands?
It’s actually very simple, the local communities depend on the revenue generated from hunters. They also greatly benefit from the meat harvested during the safaris that take place on their land.
Because of this, the game is protected and the habitat preserved.

It is still NOT okay to take the mother first and leave the Baby behind in the cold winter. It will NOT survive. That is the worst Video to hunt Chamois. SHAMESHAMESHAME!!!! That's the easy way...but NOT the correct way!!

it was not a mother stefan but a old male chamois. i only hunt for the oldest male in the hunts i do. that hunt was anything but easy as we passed up many younger males to find the oldest male during our time there. ahuntersquest is about highlighting the importance of hunting as a valuable tool of conservation
