@AHuntersQuest 8 күн бұрын
appreciate the question sarah. its in middle of ocean in the artic so not canned at all. not the most challenging hunt i have done(plenty of those on ahuntersquest for you to check out) but the reason we did this video is to share the importance of the walrus to the local inuit community and how sustainable hunting has saved the walrus from begin poached out. it was a truly incredible experience. appreciate the comment and hope you get a chance to see some of our other adventures from around the globe !!

This video is promoted as an "epic hunt" , but in reality it is a guy guided to an island full of walruses. No stocking, no skill, no anything. Just walk up and shoot whatever you want. This is not hunting. And yes this opinion is from a hunter.

they are not anymore due to the value sustainable hunting has put on the walrus. many years ago, they were getting poached out. the walrus meat is critical to the local inuit people. it was amazing experience to document on film. thanks for the question

I think people are detached from where food comes from. People will scarf down fast food and processed meat at walmart but then pitch a fit about seeing a hunter harvesting an animal

i agree and the main purpose of the video was to highlight the importance of the meat from the walrus to the local inuit community . seeing 2,000 pounds of meat taken from the island and getting to people that needed it made this a truly special experience . appreciate the comment and hope you get to check out more of our hunt videos !!

@AHuntersQuest people also make a big fuss about hunting in Africa. Maybe they don't know how many jobs that has created and how a vast majority of the meat is donated to local tribes. Good clean kill. Hopefully you get to keep the tusks, for memories
