1st Kharaji/Rafdi/Munafiq Mawiyah bin sufiyan in Muslim ummat who abused Khalifa Rashid Maula Ali (as) in religious & political gathering sahih Muslim 6220 Amir b. Sa'd b. Abi Waqqas reported on the authority of his father that Muawiya b. Abi Sufyan appointed Sa'd as the Governor and said: What prevents you from abusing Abu Turab (Hadrat 'Ali), whereupon be said: It is because of three things which I remember Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) having said about him that I would not abuse him and even if I find one of those three things for me, it would be more dear to me than the red camels. I heard Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) say about 'Ali as he left him behind in one of his campaigns (that was Tabuk). 'Ali said to him: Allah's Messenger, you leave me behind along with women and children. Thereupon Allah's Messenger ( ‌صلی ‌اللہ ‌علیہ ‌وسلم ‌ ) said to him: Aren't you satisfied with being unto me what Aaron was unto Moses but with this exception that there is no prophethood after me. And I (also) heard him say on the Day of Khaibar: I would certainly give this standard to a person who loves Allah and his Messenger, and Allah and his Messenger love him too. He (the narrator) said: We had been anxiously waiting for it, when he (the Holy Prophet) said: Call 'Ali. He was called and his eyes were inflamed. He applied saliva to his eyes and handed over the standard to him, and Allah gave him victory. (The third occasion is this) when the (following) verse was revealed: Let us summon our children and your children. On that, Habib bin Masalama said (to Ibn `Umar), "Why don't you reply to him (i.e. Muawiya)?" `Abdullah bin `Umar said, "I untied my garment that was going round my back and legs while I was sitting and was about to say, 'He who fought against you and against your father for the sake of Islam, is more rightful to be a Caliph,' but I was afraid that my statement might produce differences amongst the people and cause bloodshed, and my statement might be interpreted not as I intended. (So I kept quiet) remembering what Allah has prepared in the Gardens of Paradise (for those who are patient and prefer the Hereafter to this worldly life)." Habib said, "You did what kept you safe and secure (i.e. you were wise in doing so).

Then he would preach to them, advise them and give them orders, (i.e. Khutba). And after that if he wished to send an army for an expedition, he would do so; or if he wanted to give and order, he would do so, and then depart. The people followed this tradition till I went out with Marwan, the Governor of Medina, for the prayer of Id-ul-Adha or Id-ul-Fitr. When we reached the Musalla, there was a pulpit made by Kathir bin As-Salt. Marwan wanted to get up on that pulpit before the prayer. I got hold of his clothes but he pulled them and ascended the pulpit and delivered the Khutba before the prayer. I said to him, "By Allah, you have changed (the Prophet's tradition)." He replied, "O Abu Sa`id! Gone is that which you know." I said, "By Allah! What I know is better than what I do not know." Marwan said, "People do not sit to listen to our Khutba after the prayer, so I delivered the Khutba before the prayer."

​@isafcb312 I agree, we must unite on truth! But we must remember that truth is only with us by the Grace and Mercy of Allah SWT, should He Will, we can easily become misguided. So we should be graceful and merciful in our stance toward others first and foremost. We should look at building them bridges to the truth, before we ever feel the need to burn that bridge altogether, may Allah make it possible for us. Shia people here and there may utter explicit and disgusting statements on mother Aisha(may Allah be pleased with her), or do worship on the dead astaghfirullah, but what if there are people among the Shia communities who's hearts are yearning for truth, and Allah SWT offers guidance to this person or persons through your merciful and gracious words or acts? Just as it is by mercy and grace that you are on the truth now. Let's be grateful we have the truth, but lets not let that be a cause for us to lose our wisdom, our patience, or our reasoning. May Allah be pleased with us for even discussing unity among us, and bless us Muslims with continual guidance and protection from Shaytan, Amin.

Another more out-of-the-box idea maybe to have competitions, not in intellectual interpretive matters ( disputes which can stress and disturb) what about sports competitions like jogging archery horse riding or wrestling, in order to take the focus off conceptual diversity and give reminders we are all made of clay. Or halal cooking competitions. This may put focus on agreed on issues and in a socially constructive manner. Maybe?

Simple non classical logic ( ie paraconsistent) allows for discrepancies in the information database but without leading to absurd conclusions based on the principle of explosion. There’s a book called a to z of logic, by gensler - scarecrow press , it also covers deontic or duty logic life ought, should, must, prohibited , supererogatory etc. Plus logics of belief and rationality.

Afaik an example if paraconsistent logic in use would be the courtroom where there are slight discrepancies in testimony ( was it 1pm or 1.05 pm?) but this is regarded as acceptable inconsistency rather than a indication of lies.

Another idea may be to see Islam as a fuzzy set so it’s not 100% precisely defined in every matter but sometimes vague and unclear. So we kind of have a grasp on the fiqh of music , theres unvlarity and vagueness. Like a grey area. Or you could give a meta-analytic value to music by adding the opinions (0 is haram, 1 us halal and 0.5 is contextually halal). You might give a overall “ score” of 0.2 if you average out the various opinions.

Because the current leaders of nearly all sunni muslim countries are corrupt dictators that either have a very fragile grip on power (and likely care little for the Palestinians or the cause) or depend on the west for their stability, while Iran is on the complete opposite of the spectrum being part of the so called 'axis of resistance' and benifets greatly from any chaos that befalls the west or its allies. Also the Iranian regime is way more ideologically motivated than the current sunni dictators (both in the good sense and also in being extremely sectarian and violent to any political, ideological, or religious disagreement. If you look at the people sunni muslim countries you will see that they fully and absolutely support the Palestinians and their liberation, despite what their cowardly and pathetic leaders do or say (or don't do).

Imam Al Tahawi is the main book of creed for the deobandis, this is a very, very famous book in the Sufi/Ashari circles, for example Sheikh Asrar Rashid teaches from this book and recommends this book as a default position for all Muslims to follow in creed They reject that Allah is above the Arsh, has a direction, like the salafis believe, they also reject Alqida wasitiyah and the creedal books that the salafis take from. They also call salafis wahabi, accuse them of anthropomorphism and in general use the same arguments that the Sufi, barelwi use against them. So yeah In terms of creed and fiqh they are much, much closer. They’re like orthodox Sufis

I got hold of his clothes but he pulled them and ascended the pulpit and delivered the Khutba before the prayer. I said to him, "By Allah, you have changed (the Prophet's tradition)." He replied, "O Abu Sa`id! Gone is that which you know." I said, "By Allah! What I know is better than what I do not know." Marwan said, "People do not sit to listen to our Khutba after the prayer, so I delivered the Khutba before the prayer."

My Brother I believe we are all Muslims . But you can't say there should be unity with all Sunnis when Wahabis believe in takfir and believe they should murder Shias because they don't believe Abu Bakr was a true Khalif ir believe Aisha became an enemy if Allah after Jamal. And Wahabi and Sunni are not the same sect they are different very different . So saying all Sunnis is wring and a lie you meant to say bringing unity between Sunni and Wahabis and you can only achieve this by teaching your youth eloquence how to speak and not to resort to takfir from a Wahabi view . On that, Habib bin Masalama said (to Ibn `Umar), "Why don't you reply to him (i.e. Muawiya)?" `Abdullah bin `Umar said, "I untied my garment that was going round my back and legs while I was sitting and was about to say, 'He who fought against you and against your father for the sake of Islam, is more rightful to be a Caliph,' but I was afraid that my statement might produce differences amongst the people and cause bloodshed, and my statement might be interpreted not as I intended. (So I kept quiet) remembering what Allah has prepared in the Gardens of Paradise (for those who are patient and prefer the Hereafter to this worldly life)." And after that if he wished to send an army for an expedition, he would do so; or if he wanted to give and order, he would do so, and then depart. The people followed this tradition till I went out with Marwan, the Governor of Medina, for the prayer of Id-ul-Adha or Id-ul-Fitr. When we reached the Musalla, there was a pulpit made by Kathir bin As-Salt. Marwan wanted to get up on that pulpit before the prayer. I got hold of his clothes but he pulled them and ascended the pulpit and delivered the Khutba before the prayer. I said to him, "By Allah, you have changed (the Prophet's tradition)." He replied, "O Abu Sa`id! Gone is that which you know." I said, "By Allah! What I know is better than what I do not know." Marwan said, "People do not sit to listen to our Khutba after the prayer, so I delivered the Khutba before the prayer."
