This is the first Hanayama I could not solve, even watching the video over and over. As such I rate this puzzle beyond frustration rather than enjoyment.

I was very happy at the time when you started solving your puzzled on camera, without having solved them before. That made your videos so much more entertaining. But you were perfectly right in this one, solving it beforehand was the only logical thing to do. It would have been too fiddly and probably downright boring otherwise. Good job 👍🏼

Thnks, glad to hear that

Thank you. Thank you. Thank you. I really appreciate getting your rating BEFORE the spoiler. It helps me decide if the puzzle is worth getting without making me jump to the end of the video and risk seeing the solution.

Love seeing the solutions to the Hanayama puzzles from you! Doesn't matter to me if you do a live solve, especially for such fiddly puzzles, so I'd be glad to see more stuff like this personally. Especially if it means seeing more of these awesome puzzles.

I finally solved this recently and now wanted to see your take on it. I think you gave it a fair rating and explanation. I probably solved it one of the other ways that you mentioned but I'm glad you mentioned that you went through the movements several times before making the video. A very unique Hanayama for sure.

Just ordered this one, which has been on my list. Not watching the solution until after I get there, but I'm sure it's awesome since MrPuzzle always gets awesomeness in his videos! 😁👍🙏 So far, I've solved all the hardest Hanayama puzzles. Looking forward to this one!

Heard Hanayama and instantly hit thumbs up! And to be honest, i never solved the Trinity puzzle, even i fiddled for weeks. I think i ruined by forcing it to much. I think this one is giving me a hard time too.

Followed your video exactly but still needed a little force to solve it. Hanayama puzzles should not need force in my opinion. Your use of the notches was different than RossDM showed on his video but I think you got it right. Thanks for the help.

OK, I hate this puzzle. Been trying for an hour to get it apart EXACTLY where you did, at 4:58... Come here for the solution, guess what? Second Hanayama puzzle I tried this week that is just impossible to solve because of bad tolerances. I'm done with Hanayama.

Good call not doing a live solve on this one, I agree with other commenters that in this case, it's better to just show the solution. That said, of COURSE I want to see you do that other one! Why wouldn't I? Half the reason I'm subbed is to watch you solve beautifully intricate puzzles - the other half being your wonderful accent of course XD.

I’m new to these puzzles, but I find them fascinating. Can you or any fans recommend some more affordable “beginner” metal cast puzzles? Need to keep my brain sharp. Any advice is greatly appreciated. Much love ❤️
@bubber44443 жыл бұрын
When you buy a Hanayama puzzle in the green box you will find inside a folded paper with a list of Hanayama puzzles and their difficulty rating. Some of the newest ones are not on the list but all of these puzzles can be found on Amazon or Puzzle Master for between $10 to $15. You will also see many other puzzle brands. Search for 'metal puzzles' or 'wire puzzles' when you are on one of these sites. They are a lot of fun.

Stopping at 1:52 because of the spoiler warning. I don't want to ruin it. But I've been stuck on this one for a while. I pick it up every so often and have another go. but I can never seem to figure it out. However, I did notice on the video there is a notch on the inner surface of one of the rings. I'm going to try utilizing that next, as I've never noticed it before.

@Yominokun1Ай бұрын
I'd ask you if you can do this with the actual production model with the shiny finish over it (not a video, but just the solve). It completely throws the tolerances off i think, and the move is impossible without using quite a lot of force. I can see the burrs of the finish inside the rings adding quite a lot of thickness for a puzzle which is supposed to be so precise (the burr is about 1/2 the thickness of the thinnest part of the inner ring edge). (Well, chances of anyone seeing this comment, and replying, is quite small, but have nothing to lose)

@countach844 ай бұрын
I was struggling with it for nearly a week, because on my piece I needed to put quite a force to seperate the elements on 5:07. Had it been easier to seperate these, I would have solved it in less than 2 hours :(
@Yominokun1Ай бұрын
Quality control on this one really slipped up. I'm in the same boat. Exact same position, but the amount of force needed is just ridiculous. You can see the burrs of the shiny finish on the actual production model, which seems to throw off the entire solution.
