You’ve hit the nail on the head here. This isn’t hard to figure out. The toxic rot that has found it’s way in to the club will remain until Moshiri and Kenwright are gone.

Moshiri was never the owner Usmanov was add to that keeping Kenwright as chairman the club pressed the self destruct button ...but on the other hand 500 million in 7 years spent but yet city have spent over that on defenders alone since pep as been there..Chelsea have spent a billion pound in one season are only 3 points Infront of Everton

City win the league every year and won champs league, Chelsea have a squad of players who should be a top 5 side. Everton on the other hand are incapable of doing any of the above for the big spend and fight relegation every year..

Appreciate the kind words, Sean. The plot thickens with 777 takeover looming. Personally, I'd give Dyche a little more time with a fully fit squad and new signings (Beto, Danjuma) fully integrated.

Carlo's departure, literally sucked the life out of our club. Ancelotti was our great hope, and for him to be offered the Real job, was simply too much. He had to go, and he took Everton's life blood with him.
@ronb5714
@ronb5714 9 ай бұрын
If that’s the case then Everton’s success was on some extraordinarily shaky foundations. Ancelotti had been at the club for, what, 18 months? And had only really stabilised them as a mid-table side. After all that spending, all that turnover of players and managers, they shouldn’t have collapsed like a soufflé just because Real took their manager. It’s not even as though his arrival was part of some grand vision - when the job came up he was still at Napoli, and of their board had stuck with him who knows who Everton would have gone for.

Whenever I see United fans complain about the Glazers, I just can't get over it. According to Wiki, they bought United in May 2005. Since then, United have won 5 PL titles, 1 UCL, 1 Europa League, 1 FA Cup, 5 EFL Cups, 6 Charity Shields, 1 FIFA World Club Championship. Average of more than a trophy every year. Not that I'm overly bothered by whether Everton win trophies but I do wonder some fanbases have any sense of perspective. I agree with your conclusion though - building a new stadium should not be seen as a small achievement. Talked about it for years but nothing was ever done until now. It could be transformative.

Most Evertonians have wanted Moshiri to sell and now he is selling possibly because he has spent millions on dross. But now he is selling to a American investment fund group who has anong their owners is a man who has been arrested for a major crime. I think now we really could be in serious trouble.

You left the best or should I say worst til last Kenwright has been in attendance during the worst era of the clubs long history what I will never understand is why he is anywhere near the club when he took over from Johnson we were £20m in debt and Johnson had just built the park end and we owned Bellefield when he sold to Moshiri we were around £89m in debt and we'd sold Bellefield for housing and moved into finch farm which we ended up selling to the council to raise capital as we were on our arse (I think we still rent it off them but I'm not 100%) do you want to guess how much money Billy Liar has put into the club during his time as majority owner? Not one single penny he lent the money to buy the club from Paul and Anita Gregg but when they wanted to either take control of the club or get their money back he went to Phillip Green who lent him the money to pay the Greggs' back this is where the fun starts to pay Green back he took out a loan with a company called Vibrac against 5 years of our TV rights and can anyone guess who was a major shareholder in Vibrac? Yep Philip Green when he sold half of his shares to Moshiri he got £22.75m and he's received a lot more since which is not bad when you consider that NONE of the money he used to buy the club was his even the loan he got from Green was taken out against the clubs income the man is a cancer on the club and I for one will be glad when he takes his final exit out of Goodison Park......UTFT

Not an Everton fan, but to my mind this is an excellently produced and informative video, being superior to comparable ‘KZbinr’ videos that I’ve seen about other clubs. I totally agree that Everton need a change in ownership and leadership. However, in a weird sense, the one thing that has stopped Everton from achieving that, is that somehow they keep avoiding relegation, because had Everton ‘gone down’, it would definitely have forced Moshiri and Kenwright out of the club.
@liamwithington

Cheers Arthur. I'm hoping to release some more very soon. I've never been in the camp of 'we need to go down to reset' - too risky from a financial and player perspective. The club need wise heads at the top with a clear vision. Reading more on 777 doesn't fill me with huge confidence.

One reason Everton have declined - You lost Moyes and didn't replace him well. You can't blame finances, because the reason you have been fined 10 points is because you spent too much. So you can't blame an owner for spending too much. You can't blame Kenwright, because he brought in investment, secured a huge stadium deal in the city centre, not Kirkby, and had backed the club well. With Moyes, you were up and down, yes, but he never had the finances of other managers at the time, he was forced to get loan players, forced to sell good players, (often backbone players like Fellaini, Gravesen or arguably Rooney)(Lukaku, Gordon, Stones, Lescott, Barkley, even Richarlison). With a very limited budget and semi-decent players he won the manager of the year at least twice. You were competing in Europe a fair few times and he took you to a cup final. All on a very limited budget. Moyes could spot a decent player, and could build a team. He hardly ever got in trouble for saying the wrong thing, and he understood the traditions of Everton. Even when he went to Utd with a really aging squad he managed to get above a 50% win record, only a few % behind Fergie and better than Busby and Atkinson. Why Everton didn't go back for Moyes every time they have sacked a manager I don't know? With the budget these managers have had in the past 10 years he would have done miracles at Everton. Dyche will do ok I think, once he settles, but there is a chance of a year in the championship now, so will the fans stick with him, or will they demand a replacement, just for the sake of it? Nothing says a new manager will instantly bring success, they need at least 2 years to even get a team they like coaching. I do hope Everton become a good side again, there hasn't been a good derby in quite a few years, and that was the game I looked forward to most, 100% better than a rivalry with the mancs. COYB - get your act together.

Football fans are very fickle and often thick but the Evertonian’s are a rung above. Rafa was the cause of everything yet Lampard and Dyche aren’t to blame it’s Kenwright etc. I’ve been watching various forums and reading their comments about Beto and 90% of them are saying this man’s a monster , a beast, and that he’s been tearing it up for them ….. he’s played 2 games against Doncaster and Sheff Utd, he didn’t score in his only appearance in the league which I’ve no issue with but to then read he’s tearing it up and he’s a beast, unstoppable is typical of them talking absolute nonsense
