This older video of CDB reminds me a lot of the Allman Brothers extended jams. Great show, gotta love this.

Just an outstanding band... it took a long time for Charlie & his band to get the recognition they deserved... this man & his band paid their dues & then some... I still can't believe Taz Di Gregorio is dead...

I didn't always agree with Charlie's politics but he always made me feel proud of America and I loved his music down to the very core of my being. Thank you Charlie Daniels and the Charlie Daniels Band.

Back in 1987 I wrote mr.daniels a letter telling him his lps from the 70´s were unbeatable, and the music from the 7o´s on was somehow poorer(in general terms), he actually wrote back a letter to me and sent me a dedicated photo which is hung in my music room, that is the kind of nice person he was. This performance just shows how right I was. Greetings from down south Barcelona. Long life to southern music.

This is b4 Charlie started "preachin'" I hate that he has changed his lyrics of older songs to fit his religious views but they're his songs so I guess he can do what he wants w/ em. I still love him and the old stuff!! DevilWDTG and back. The perfect snapshot of his best stuff IMHO is Saddle Tramp/High Lonesome/Fire on the Mountain, Nightrider and some of Midnight Wind. You get those and you got the "cream"

I hear what you're saying but he'd be a hypocrite if he didn't change what he sings. To me, that shows his character.
