Thanks Al it’s a crazy film and fuck going to jail in turkey it’s probably not much better……the only true thing I can connect with that film is the court scene was filmed in my friends dads house in Malta as I think the whole film was made in Malta.
@folkenbluzer2 жыл бұрын
@@russ8889 that's pretty cool to know the people who live in the house that some of that was recorded in. The writer of the book says it's a true story exaggerated for entertainment purposes and more so with the film. I'll have to check that scene out again.

I have seen the movie a long time ago, but remember it only now, through your video. The theme was also gone in my head, looked it up and remembered it, by Moroder, ah, I'm not surprised. What you added is a great depth of basses and sounds, one noteline chases the other :-) I love those baroquely filled, overwhelming songs, that make it impossible to think while the notes rain down on me. And that is one, a crazy and endless chase!
@russ88892 жыл бұрын
Thanks I thought it lent itself to my style of covering electronic themes.The fist mix I done was more analog and closer to the original,I done the same with the Kraftwerk track I covered so I binned them and went more digital with both as there isn’t really any point covering something to make it sound like the original,you may as well just listen to the original.

And how long have you been in your band?And I wanted to acknowledge Alan Parker's death.Nobody seems to notice where we lose great directors,how William Freidkin,another genius.He passed two days after my birthday on August7 at 87.RIP.And I find that process fascinating,like you said just to get three minutes of music down on tape!I know nothing about that. I can't imagine how horrible that was for you after your stroke to continue your passion in music.
@russ88898 ай бұрын
I’ve only started the band 2 years ago with me and my cousin,now we have a drummer and bassist,never been in a band before I only self produced normally,the stroke is a setback but it doesn’t stop the need to be creative….is it harder…..absolutely but it’s about what you can do and what you can’t. Music is just another challenge to me and cover songs alike still take time.I work fairly quickly and it still takes about a minimum of about 5 days to months to get things right.a 2 second part in a track may take 6 hours to get right sometimes.occasionally things can happen in hours you never know.Personally I never know what a track is going to be like .Then mixing and mastering before you even get to hear the music.Then making a video for KZbin,it’s a process let me tell you.There’s lots of music I don’t like but even if I think it’s shit I think about all the back time that went into making it so there’s always something even if it’s a the way something is mixed,maybe it might give you a different perspective on what you hear.

What do you think about Waters redoing Dark Side of the Moon?
@russ88898 ай бұрын
@@Tony-hu7ukwell I wasn’t feeling because of the vast difference that you are always going to compare it with.Ok so Pink Floyd is my favorite band no question.I always go to Roger Waters gigs…why?because you can’t replace the voice. Obviously Gilmore massive part and fantastic singing in his own right,now I had one little to Roger Waters darkside and it was weird.My cousin convinced me to re listen in headphones sat down,I listened and musically it’s brilliant but I just can’t get my head around it.The best ever version of Darkside is a album called Dubside of the moon I think by the Allstars I think.it’s a reggae version and it’s brilliant for laying in a hammock in the summertime

I’m sorry this offended you so deeply,if you have never heard a cover,remix of interpretation of a song before in a film,radio,KZbin,Spotify,Apple Music or seen a band in a pub playing cover songs?it’s called artistic license and if you don’t like it that’s perfectly ok with me you have your freedom of speech I respect your opinion but respect mine as a musician
@Tony-hu7uk8 ай бұрын
These comments can sound a lot more harsh than intended.Sorry,I should have wrote it differently.I forgot how much people read them.I'm a big time Purist.I just hate any remix,cover or remake even if the original artist changes his own stuff from the past.I think art should be left alone.I'm fine with it when live bands who have not wrote their own stuff do it because they have an audience to entertain.An audience needs to hear something they're familiar with.But that's the only time I'm OK with it.But when a band is already established with they're own material and they do covers, I cannot stand it.An example would be this Who concert I was watching and their playing their well known classics and then all of a sudden they do a cover of someone else's song(Roadrunner)I hated it.I really hate when they do it on an album.In fact The Who's first one or two albums were nothing but covers.I really hated it in The Who's case because they were very creative people back in those days.Now with Pink Floyd,starting with they're first album(1967) up untill their last, everything they wrote.Love them or hate them their material is 100% creativity! Nothing is from anyone else.That's what I love.Sorry for sounding rude.

I forgot to ask,what do you think of the differences in the film version of Chase as opposed to the one on the soundtrack album?I love the one in the film a lot more.How about you?
@russ88898 ай бұрын
Ok no problem I do understand what your saying.If it’s original music you like I have a band called The Delicate Giants.We do albums not singles,we in fact have a new album due soon.We already have 3 albums.Kind of Floyd meet Jarre.I’ve personally been doing electronic music since 87.I’ve done my time,run a record label,had a recording studio,People like original as well as familiar.Bands like Queen didn’t make money until there 3rd album.It’s hard work being any kind of artist,you have to pay bills,this is why bands do cover songs every now and then because of record companies.You may be only a listener to music,do you have any idea how long it can take for your 3 minutes of pleasure or pain? I had a stroke,I lost use of my right hand and leg,so now what you hear is made on a iPad.I highly recommend if you listen to a track by The Delicate Giants called Born Free ……then you might realize this thing I do is fun for me as I can’t work anymore and I think I’ve earned my right to take a few songs I love every now and then and do them differently. Everything from the Delicate Giants to original stuff on my channel is all made by little old one handed me…..I’m not trying to promote myself but if your a music lover you might enjoy it. I have midnight express on video and dvd,album,and cd.the court scene was filmed in my friend’s front room in Malta Love the music.
