Last time a chaser catches 22 or more was in Series 7, where the Beast catches 22 on 0 seconds, but after that it doesn't happen again until Series 10, which is the first part of video. Since Series 10, chasers catching 22 or more doesn't happen more often anymore.
This video was originally uploaded by someone on KZbin, but the video was turned down, so I wanted to upload this myself + the 2 updates.

Percentage wise, it goes as follows according to One Question Shootout statistics: Anne (79.4%) Jenny (78.0%) Paul (76.5%) Mark (75.9%) Shaun (69.7%) What this says about the actual smartness of the chasers, I don't know. Probably not much, they're all extremely smart. [Note: Darragh has not lost yet as of my posting this comment. But he has also only done a few shows. So I excluded him.] [Note 2: Jenny has significantly fewer shows than the other 4, but her count is still over 150, so I put her in.]

A while back, Bradley got pranked by Ant and Dec on an 'Ant and Dec Undercover' for Saturday Night Takeaway (purely because he said that just because he got pranked 15 years ago, they will never trick him again). Only Bradley thought it was a real episode; the contestants were all wearing earpieces with Ant and Dec telling them what to do. They got £200,000 with 22 steps to the Chaser finishing with Ant and Dec destroying the set! I bet whenever teams now do well, Bradley wonders if Ant and Dec are behind it! xD

Has Shaun ever caught a 22+? I know he’s done a 21. Regrettably although I like him, I do have to say I think he’s the weakest chaser. He seems to do a lot better when the answers are in front of him, I think he lost an 11 once didn’t he? (And caught a score of 9 with only 3 seconds to spare). Although having said that the 21 he did catch was the longest flawless final chase ever, 21 correct on the bounce!!

Especially in the later series, he's definitely deteriorated with a < 50% on scores between 16-19 - Also shows that he did lose an 11 (although Anne and Jenny have both lost a 12 surprisingly)
@nhagelin1026
@nhagelin1026 4 жыл бұрын
Actually Mark has the longest flawless final chase, 26 on the bounce in Series 2. Anne has also caught 21 on the bounce. All of Shaun’s catches of 22+ were during seasons 1-5, where Bradley read the questions faster (During this period, Anne and Mark each chased down a 26 and Paul chased down a 24 with 25 seconds left! Paul and Mark also came one question short of chasing down a 28 - and the team needed three pushbacks against Paul for that to even happen). Shaun caught 22 twice (out of 6) and 23 four times (out of 6). Shaun has never caught 24+. For comparison’s sake, since series 6, 22 has only been caught 9 times out of 28, 23 has only been caught twice, and 24 has been caught only once (by Jenny). 25 and 26 have never been caught, and there hasn’t even been a target higher than 26 in the UK version during this time.

The show is designed so the Chaser wins most of the time, but has enough handicap to not win ALL the time. The contestants' wins are more enjoyable and memorable that way. If contestants won frequently, the show wouldn't be as exciting, the wins wouldn't be "worth" as much, we wouldn't be constantly on the edge of our seats when the Chaser is far behind and it looks like the team *might* win.

Keep strong. Dont forget that despite the evil in this world, God is full of justice, mercy and love. Justice said we broke His perfect law - causing the world's previous perfection to be destroyed - and therefore we deserve Hell (like a punishment in any legal system but this is eternal as His perfect law is eternal too). Don't think you fit in that category? Ever done one of these?: lying, stealing - regardless of how small the object EVER, hating others - which is murder in God's perfect law, lusting (plus God sees our entire thought life). Justice says "the soul that sins shall die". BUT, mercy said "I dont want to give them what they deserve. I don't want them to be cut off from Me. I love them despite all they have done/will do against Me. I want to give My children another chance. I want them to come home and live in My love again". And love said "Jesus, God's Son, came down as a Man, our representative, suffering every temptation, pain and struggle we have ever faced, yet without sin. He took all our sins (past/present/ even future) to the cross and then crucified EVERY ONE on our behalf. Justice was paid on the cross so that we can be free from Hell's punishment, experience Gods mercy of forgiveness of sin and live in His love. If we turn from the sins we have committed and repent (turn away from our sin and pursue the opposite direction of love through Christ) He will, overtime, recreate us back into that previously perfect image through The Holy Spirit which Jesus sends to all who accept Him as their personal Lord and Savior of their life. He is in Heaven right now preparing a place for us so that He can take His faithful, believing children home with Him when He returns. He will ressurrect us from death when He returns, giving mercy to those who accept His love, instruction and teachings in their life, and give justice to those who refuse it. He doesn't want ANY of us to go to Hell and die for continuing in evil and rejecting His way to life, thats why He died FOR us. He wants us to be His and begin to follow His life of love and service through Him (not ourselves as it's impossible without depending on His power and instruction). So long as we keep our hearts near to Christ through His strength, strive to obey His will of perfect love revealed in the Bible, and ask Him to help us in the midst of (very certain) pitfalls and struggles, we will, in time, win the victory over sin, pain and DEATH through Christ. Even if you are willing to be made willing, or struggling or doubtful, simply be honest and tell Him that. He is not intimidated by ANY sin or struggle you are facing. ANY. He hears and will answer. If we pray for Him to come in, regardless of the condition, then He will. NOTE: You are NEVER too sinful or messed up that God cannot turn your life around through Jesus. EVER. If you have any questions let me know
