I'm so excited to learn all of these (tomorrow, when it's not midnight and my neighbours won't be mad). Love the tips on momentum, balance and turning. I feel like this is an area where it's so fundamental that a lot of teachers are not able to reverse-engineer what they do and explain it for beginners. So so helpful.

Great video! The editing software also got quite a big workout, trying to mesh your two passes with the moving shadows on the back wall and ceiling into a smooth combined version 😀

Hey Laura, Thank you for all your amazing videos ! This one is sooooo helpful !!! I have a question about history though : do you know if there is any way of finding information about the history of this move ? I'm having trouble finding any information on the subject, or even an old (very old 😄) clip featuring the chase. Thanks again 🙏❤

besides being a fantastic dancer, which you already know, your instructions & breakdowns are so well done, informative, & nice and easy to follow. i just hope your floor isn't shaking as much as your camera is shaking and vibrating when your feet land, Especially if you have neighbors below. ;) & i love your sneakers! (i'm a size 7 1/2 or 8 btw ;) lol) but awesome dancing and instruction as usual. =)

lol - I have such massively big feet for a lady my size: I'm a 9.5! But thank you! I dig those sneakers, too. I figure if I got big feet, might as well get some good footwork going and show those puppies off! Floor is definitely shaking a lot, but we're fortunate enough not to have downstairs neighbors. Hopefully that's the situation FOREVER!

hi Laura. thanks so much for the sweet reply & all the answers! =) first, as far as your feet, you're actually not far off from the average woman's shoe size. the average woman's shoe size is an 8 1/2-9. when you said for your size, i take it maybe you're not that tall? how tall are you? cause i actually work in shoes & i've seen shorter women with bigger feet than taller women now. & 2 of my friends both have feet bigger than yours, one girl is 5'5", the other girl is only 5'2" and they both wear size 10 to 11 shoes! & btw, i'm a guy, and i'm 5'7" and yes, i only wear a size 7 1/2 or 8 in womens' shoes, and basically only a size 6 (i can go from a 5 1/2 to 6 1/2) in guys' shoes. it's ok. you can laugh. lol imagine putting your size 9 1/2s next to my womens 7 1/2s/guys' 6s? =) lol but don't worry. nothing to be ashamed of. like i tell my friends who have big feet- it's not about the Size of the feet- it's about the Look of the feet. big beautiful feet on a woman are a lot more attractive than little ugly feet. =) so as long as you take care of your feet and they look nice & pretty, then, as u said, be proud to show those big but beautiful puppies off! =) but now i'm curious how tall you are and how your height matches up with your shoe size? then as far as your floor, glad you don't have neighbors but if a small thin woman like you is making the floor & room shake that much, (i even saw you making some of your plants shake in some other videos!), maybe your floor wasn't built to take that kind of impact and pounding? you could be damaging your floor- either your floorboards your feet are jumping on or the floor supports and beams below. i say this from a little experience when years ago, another friend of mine, after years of aerobics, Zumba, etc., eventually damaged And broke part of the floor in Both- her Mom's living room And in her 1st apartment. she didn't go Through the floor but she made the floor sink from cracking & breaking a support beam below (in Both places!) causing the floor to sink a few inches. & i forgot if it was at her Mom's or the apartment but she cracked & broke a couple floorboards under the carpet too! she said she always loved to shake the floor and make the floor and things in the room shake, and, it sounds like maybe you do too? but she wasn't aware of the damage she was causing to the floor so i want to make u aware also. she said when her Mom called to get the floor repaired the guy said a couple more workouts or routines and she Would have gone through the floor & wound up in the basement! oh, & she's only 5'4" and weight ranges from 120-125. & she had size 8 1/2 feet. Lol hehe. so yeah, in a funny way, anyone says anything about you shaking the floor & room so much, you could always say, "it's not me. i'm thin & in shape. it's my big feet shaking the floor." haha. =) jk but on a serious note, if you live in an older building that was built many years ago, and you dance, jump, and sometimes even stomp on the floor a few times a week like you do on video, you Could be Literally wearing out your floor, and not just the floorboards your feet are stomping on, but the support beams below too. maybe you should consider having your floor inspected just as a safety precaution? i wouldn't want anything to happen to you or for you to have to pay money to repair your floor. I'm So sorry i wrote so much! but your sweet answer made me feel comfortable enough to talk more to you & elaborate on my comments about your feet and floor. =) oh, & after all that, since it was so long ago, i was wondering how tall are you again? it's been a while since i asked. Lol

i'm so sorry i wrote so much in my reply before! wow. it was like a novel! lol i just felt comfortable sharing some of that info with you. & i guess you probably know your floor & its condition better than i do so i won't ask or say anymore if you don't want. so i'll just say & ask, after your comment that you, quote-"have such massively big feet" for a lady your size, you got me curious just how tall, or short, are you? just curious how your height matches up with your feet/shoe size, cause like i said, between my friends & customers over the years, i've pretty much seen it all and your feet probably aren't as big for your height as you think.

@@nite0wldoc Hey, no worries. Sometimes it takes me a while to write back because life is really busy, and I'm also not that great at tech. Thanks for the heads up on your friend breaking the floor. Hopefully it doesn't come to that over here! Height is pretty dead average - 5'4.5"

@@LauraGlaess Totally understand. thank you. & first & foremost, i want to sincerely thank you for being so kind & sweet, and thoroughly answering all my questions, especially some being somewhat personal like your height & shoe size. i really appreciate all of it! thank you! =) first, as far as your floor, i won't ask anymore but i do have a suggestion. since you are so small & petite, when you dance, jump & land hard & stomp your feet, as you already know & said- the floor shakes quite a bit (along with your plants sometimes too). for just one small little woman like you doing all that, i would suggest maybe having your floor and either the sub floor or ceiling below inspected in case you might be causing some structural damage to your floor, the ceiling below, or just the building in general. but something tells me you might enjoy & Like shaking the floor & the room like my friend did? ;)hehe If you have a basement below you, you can definitely get a more thorough inspection. if it's an apartment or just a lower floor, probably have to check the floor supports & beams in the crawl space. then as far as your feets, just one last question out of curiosity- you're probably pretty much a true size 9 1/2, but as we know all shoes are cut different, so we usually tend to be between sizes. so would you say your feet/shoe size is more on the size 9-9 1/2 side, or more on the size 9 1/2-10 side? So sorry for writing so much again! & thank you once more for being so kind to reply and answer all my questions! i Really do appreciate it! =)
