I would say, the original black strip on the inner door is magnetic The latch you was trying to adjust is a safety non open latch Adding the foam only moves the original magnetic strip away from the metal cabinet and now you are soley relying on the underside safety latch Remove your added foam

I removed the fridge and swapped it out for a Dometic. We like it so far.

I switched the fridge out for a Dometic drawer fridge. Only because I saw a potential for failure. We’ve had zero issues with the Dometic. It’s been flawless.

What’s the depth of the drawer without the compressor box? Was hoping to be able to move the compressor box since I only have 21.5 inches of depth where I want to put it

Did the gasket work to creat a good seal and are you still using the fridge (im looking at one and for the price i dont mind adding a seal if the fridge works fine

Gasket worked perfectly fine. I did a recent video comparing this to a Dometic drawer fridge. I run the dometic now.

I don't understand why you ended the video without testing out the refrigerator and giving us your thoughts on it. I personally wouldn't be buying a $300 refrigerator that I had to modify but to each his own.

I have plans to test this fridge against another. But I do agree, the refrigerator gasket shouldn't need to be modified for it to work.

So I ended up going with a Dometic drawer. I need to do an update on this because the build has turned out to be something we really enjoy off road. Maybe this can give you some inspiration for your build. I've had a lot of reaports of the fridge being pretty solid though. @@neilmckay8649 I guess one could count that as a mod? It’s easily cleaned/removed. Regardless, I ended up keeping the fridge so I could test it against Dometic’s drawer fridge. I did get rid of the fridge at a loss to myself. In general though, I don’t return things reviewed on the channel. I may get rid of them (sell them at a loss usually). Cause I don’t enjoy keeping unused stuff laying around. 😂
