The cheapest BGA Stencil holder available?

First look and a few thoughts.
I have had this for a while and not had a look at it until today.
Just a few £'s from China.
Quite useful and I may well try using spacers to lift the stencil away from the surface of the BGA, that way the stencil could be removed before re-flow.

kapton tape on top to mask unused holes and kapton tape on bottom in same regions to allow small standoff. If the stencil sticks to board, you can reheat with hot air and pull stencil off. Solder should not stick to stainless and 0.5 balls should melt into smaller orbs than template holes.

Good man, thank you very much for your warm tutorial. If I can do with this, then I will not get one of the more expensive stencil holders - as I might do one a week at most! One question please: I see you are not matching the stencil to the BGA chip ball pattern, so... will a few stencils like the one you are using, with different hole sizes, do for most chips? I don't mind spending more time doing the job, but buying a stencil for every Chip/BGA ball pattern is very expensive, considering the amount of chips out there. Thanks again

Universal stencils had to be used for this as I did not have the correct stencil. If you have time then you could do the same with the universal stencil with the correct ball size.
