@nkosinathisethabile5913 yup, so the water pump was replaced 3 years ago, sump gasket, pre cat O2 sensor that screws into turbo, cam shaft magnets. Other than those items, it's been solid. Engine internals solid.

Have owned my 2014 GTI for close to 11 years now. Sitting on 201,000km. I have looked after it. It’s a great car. It’s getting expensive to repair now though as parts start giving up. I want to keep it to at least 250,000km. Finding a mechanic who can do the job right without damaging the vehicle is a challenge. Even VW themselves are not skilled with high mileage cars. One thing I wish I did sooner was halving the oil change interval the moment the it was out of warranty. There is no reason for a car to go 15,000km with the same oil.
