Hey Waylon. Man, I hate when I hear about my friends having trouble. You are a tough old dog, Ken. You are going to have a brand-new old truck when you are finished with the truck. I have plastic drop sheets in my shop ready for when I want to paint. When I'm finished painting, I just roll the sheets up and they are ready for the next job. They really keep the shop clean. Made the same paint booth, framed with 2x4's. Cut a hole in each end. A small exhaust fan on one end and a HVAC filter on the other.. Glad to see you making good progress on the truck.

Online metals has been my go to, even with shipping they beat local prices by a LOT, especially now that the local scrapyard is closing down(owner is retiring, kids don't want to run it, gov regs have gone nuts...)...

Hey, Ken!! Another great vid!! Jes in case the fellers aren't doin' there job in 'worrying about that compressor pulley'... Might have a simple solution if you DO find that you need to put a 'more than I want to' tension on that belt. Since it is driven by a duplex pulley, you could easily (with your skill) install an adjustable 'swing-arm idler' on the opposite side, and perfectly balance the strain side-to-side. NO added stress on the water pump bearing.... Just a thought.... Bro, you don't even need to TRY to stay busy... it meets you at the door!! Take care over there!!

Turn the air compressor around 180⁰. It will turn in the opposite direction, but it doesn't care. You can then drive it with the large pulley closer to the pump bearing and not worry so much about side loads.

Im not worried.. i have people do that for me! haha.. we had a discussion in a previous episode about if it should turn backwards or not.. I had room so I mounted it correctly so my worriers wont have something else on their plate haha

Yes sire the price of steel went way up. People are wondering why I'm tearing apart some steel/metal thingy apart. So I can reuse the steel for another project. My older brother got into my stash of metal and took it to the recycle for cash$$. Now I have to restock my supply. The city was getting on him for having to much junk that you can see from the street. What is junk to some is antique gold to other's American made stuff you just can't buy anymore.

I have been painting for a long time. IMO, the person painting is not as important as the quality of product. What are you using?? I usually use BCCC Urethane. I know the clear coat will not last forever, but the results look good. You impress me as a single stage lacquer guy because you can polish it as much as you want. I was surprised to see the supplies, looked like a clear coat system.

Not for nothing, but think you need to move the tanks to the lower half of the cab… think they look too heavy a bit… but may just be on camera… you know… the camera puts on 10 pounds.
