@@joshpointohyour build would absolutely not outperform a newer PC. Your old Intel CPU won’t even be able to run Windows 11 and would have a much lower clock speed than the Ryzen 5. Also your GPU doesn’t have ray tracing or any new features like the AMD one in the video

However, in dGPU tasks, the GTX 1070 8 GB will outperform it because the raw power is closer to an RTX 3050 8 GB and the RX 6500 XT is closer to a GTX 1060 6 GB, but with 2 gb less vram.

I built a 600 dollar machine for my parents that is the best bang for your buck machine I've ever built. It was for my parents, so I wasn't about to use crap parts. $100 more dollars, the difference between cheap and amazing bang for buck is pretty huge. Ofc I used Black Friday and every other discount imaginable, but the price for the exact components I got have already almost doubled the value of the list price for the exact same components, and that's DIY built prices. A comparable pre built 8s around 2K. Build it yourself, or find someone who enjoys it. It's worth it.

I paid 2400 bucks back in the day for a custom build. 6.4G HD, 17"crt monitor, 56k modem, 300MB ram, 300Mhz buss. It was top of the line compared to Future Shop, Staples, Etc. That's all we had. Puter was obsolete the next week !! Back then every 18months or so, speed and mem was doubled !!!

So, on top of screws for the cooler, you also have the PCIe screws for the gpu, those a pretty important to have anigged down depending on the gpu weight, but the one shown isn't very heavy, so pass. Then there's mobo screws, you don't want those to be loose even under light load but if your pc never ever moves again then its maybe OK just check them often. Then there's the power supply screws, again, if the pc is basically stationary forever its probably ok....eesh. case fans are important to screw down, if they're included with the case they are probably screwed in but if they aren't tight, then they can be noisy and wear out faster, so again, technically can get away with. So even if your pc never moves, still check them often, inherent vibration can loosen hand tightened screws. I know, this video is just an exercise in possibility, but for the record, just get the screw driver. Fun vid though, sometimes you just do t have the right tool for the job, and you make do with what you have.
