One note Piet , shooting Air rifle in your back yard in ZA even with a bullet trap is defs not legal in a built up area. Not that it stops people doing so anyway, but even a daisy is no go unfortunately. It's Sad

So many laws getting ignored. EVERYONE speeds, everyone shoots in their backyard, everyone skips a stop street every now and then, everyone does u-turns... All those are illegal yet everyone does them... What harm is a little plinking in my backyard?

Over the lockdowns in NZ I shot a good bit of air rifle. But mine was passed on from a client, and likely a cheapy 40 years ago. Luckily, 4 of my friends had similar rifles and we had competitions! Every day the winner from the day before would come up with a new match for us. Bloody good value.

That group isn't bad, but in the UK we're limited to 12ftlb for air rifles in unlicensed competition. And the majority of our shooting is outside. I've seen guys do similar groups outside in the wind with 12ftlb (777 fps) and 8.44grain .177 pellets. But you can imagine how much the wind pulls it. Indoors I could shoot that group at 50 metres with an FX sub 12 .177. Outside sub inch at 50 metres is my best so far, 100 metres sub 2inch. So I'd LOVE to shoot the high power indoors and see what I get. Love the video Pete! I'd love to see more air rifle stuff for us UK unlicensed guys. 😊👍

I train my AR stuff with a Gas blow back Airsoft rifle, and it makes a huge difference! Why the crap I never thought of a Precision AIR rifle for bolt gun training? 🤔Ummmm yeah, looks like an air rifle is in my future!😆

air rifles are easily the most accurate rifle. But you need to get yourself some RWS R10 pellets. They've won many olympic titles.

Although they only come in 177 and are wad cutters with doesn't help if he's shooting at 50,the domed Diablo shape is better suited ,I can say this because I shoot 10m and 3p with r10s and futher with domed

Cheap to shoot… but a R50’000 rig is not….
@j.e.honiball13272 жыл бұрын
If you pay R500 rand for 20 rounds (cheap for today's standards), you'll be R50k deep after 2000 rounds. Competition shooters can rack this up within a year. Within a year this rifle may lose R20k in value, meaning you can probably sell it for R30k after a year. So if you are a serious competition shooter and fire 2000 rounds through this instead of a centerfire rifle, you will spend R30k less.

"The dreamline is kind of an affordable air rifle option" gtfo any air rifle that's the same price as a car is not affordable😂😂😂and an impact at that? They're top of the range and more than double the price of an actual rifle

So true
@GreatLakesLogger2 жыл бұрын
depends what you're looking for. if you want high quality and the same relative level of accuracy in a center fire rifle, you'll end up paying much more than this. either way, it's expensive to set up, but once you're there, it's much cheaper to shoot. the dreamline lite bottle in .30 is deadly accurate, and a party on birds and ground squirrels

@@GreatLakesLogger I can buy atleast 3 .22 LR rifles and 1000 rounds and still have money left over...this I not a good alternative
@seancushway69592 жыл бұрын
@@GreatLakesLogger Not to mention I can hunt a lot more with my .22 Lr rifles than any fx gun
@GreatLakesLogger2 жыл бұрын
Depends on the rifle obviously, but most PCP guns are more accurate than a .22. Not downing the 22, but that's just how it is. Having an air rifle also allows me to get access to people yards and fields that I couldn't otherwise shoot in. Yes definitely more money than a 22, but it's more consistent, tuneable, and legally quieter. There are much cheaper options than an FX guns as well. An Air Venturi Avenger is a decent gun for around $350. If you're buying an FX, you're paying for the cream of the crop.
