@@Frazzy-vd1kv The only legit way to get that hat is by Rare gifting it to you because you did extra out of game stuff for SoT (Example is made 3D models of something in game, or cosplayed. ect) during a SoT community day, to where Rare found your post and thought it was good enough to give you the hat. It is the "#bemorepirate" hat which basically shows that you love the game more than most. Which is ironic when you are a toxic cheater supporter, and got boosted, which basically says that you don't like the game as is enough to play the way it is intended.

A note on the FOF: you can get the key from one and instead of unlocking it, just keep said key and wait for a new FOF to spawn, then use the key there instead of clearing any waves. Queued up with a dude one time who had one floating in the water before I joined while he was dong something else and his best guess was someone was trying to make a getaway and got sharked. We checked the closest forts to him and none had an unopened vault so we decided to just wait for another one and, sure enough, the door opened with it. More likely a cheater issue, but it could have also been us if what you experienced happened about a month ago.

I wanted to farm skelly and ghost curses so bad since HG came out, but i saw a lot of cheaters there, and i wanted to take a break from game due to a bunch irl problems. And then i came back in season 9, started farming a bit, got up to level 30 with me crew.... and then we just started getting cheaters, a lot of them, no matter the ship type: sloop, galleon or brig. And there was a lot of moments when they just ended our 3 or 4 streaks almost immediately. Crew i've been playing with stopped playing, 'cause they liked pvp and playing against cheaters is dumb idea if you are not pro player, so i also stopped playing pvp. I came for glorious, honourable and great fights (which i didn't had since Arena closure(i came in mid S5)), but instead of fun time as i've had in my 10 hours of arena, i had flying and teleporting aimbotters. Might as well just farm curses through server alliance at this point tbh

Solo ain't for me as my game can lag sometimes, and due to lags i may not react to enemy changing position, and with friends it was good because i could be on helm, while they guard ship and shoot cannons. Essentially why Rare can't EVER get rid of cheaters on PC is because playability of the game on PC is governed by Steam but players' accounts are governed by Microsoft, whereas on Xbox they are both governed by Microsoft. If you don't like fighting cheaters, then move to Xbox only servers. A PC cheater can just make a new Microsoft account for free and get back to gaming in minutes after a ban. An Xbox cheater will have to run their credit card again if they want to play

Funny how I was watching the video while playing Sea of Thieves and the exact same thing happened to me in that moment. I just joined the server, got kegged by someone, no sound of swimming, no sound of climbing to my ship, nothing. Didn't think much of it as I wasn't paying too much attention and was sorting my inventory, there was no rowboat and ship for sure though. Same guy kegged me no five minutes later. The server was silent too which makes me think that I wasn't the only one.

I don't know which region are you playing at, but there are also a lot like these on EU, for example w33fresh(a hardcore cheater in other games as well) and his whole crew is doing hourglass ever since it exists. Everyone knows they are cheating, someone even got proof that they discussed about hacks in a cheater discord, but ofc all this worth nothing because they are not doing it that blatantly like the guy in this video. While (mostly)unbeatable flying cheaters are frustrating, it's much more bothering for me that there are assholes like these who can just get away with it forever..

in eu east servers this is how you stop grinding pvp. russians are shameless with that flying keg hack . 1 out of 3 fights has a guy flying with keg . is some kind of boosting services or so and if you are lucky they won’t fly but there is 80% chances that the opponent in hourglass got some sort of cannons aim or shooting 5 blunderbus shots in a row and things like this. you can’t grind no more in eu east region and rare doesn’t even ban them despite all these reports. there are shameless hackers still flying out there… this is a good time to stay away from the game. all my crew left the game because hackers and i want to play but it gets frustrating. good video mister Makaio , sad is that rare is fking up by not trying

They are just kids they know , they can't take the true players without hacks and those who do a partnership with them, then they grab the hacking programam to fill themselves, to feel better, I feel sorry for them, people who use hacks will always have advantage , but won't be a true player, those are the ones who ruin the fun of the games lol. if the reason you think they wernt banned is because they still have a forum account, i would like to reassure that game bans and forum bans are totally seperate, so anyone banned in game can still appear on the forums that aside, the game does have an anti cheat, rare just doesnt talk about it much, but in one of their recent posts about the cheating issue does bring subtle mention to it, "Further to this, our security team have issued permanent bans to an additional 8,000 accounts in the last 12 months as a result of internal cheat detection and anti-tampering measures." internal cheat detection and anti tampering measures basically breaks down to mean anti cheat people just dont realize that very popular games with frequently used anti cheat systems still can be plagued by cheaters, its not about if a game does or doesnt have anti cheat, its about how bans are applied, and how easy they are to get around... considering anyone with a steam copy of the game just has to get a new microsoft account (which is free) to bypass bans, thats the reason we have cheaters, not because of a lack of anti cheat

On the forums if an account is banned it says "banned" next to their name. They've had an anti cheat in the game for awhile (since arena I believe) but it's using machine learning so it's slow at detecting cheats and isn't a 'true' anti cheat detecting software on a pc and what not.

@@makaiosr i didnt ever notice the banned thing on the forum, but as for the anti cheat, we as players dont know the actual depth or capability of it, all we know for sure is that it has banned more people than reported players, which means its working at least
