The Checkmate 1500 Mini, is a wonderful case, I have the black one with the 'Mistix' board in it, and I will admit, you just had me log into my checkmate account and order this pack, :) Now to wait for Stephens new monitors to come out :)

I have one of these Checkmate UnAmiga units. Bought it at the tail end of last year for my newly refurbished office. Even though I’ve now restored two of my four original Amigas I still find myself opting to power on the UnAmiga. It just has that ‘new Amiga’ feel I’ve not felt since 1993. Plus it fills that ‘big box’ Amiga void in my life as I never had the money for one then or now given the accelerating prices of late. It’s the Amiga I just turn on.

I have 3 of the Checkmate 1500 cases for my A500, A600 and A1200. Not bragging I just have them, and they are very nice and am happy to have them in my rack. Not sure why I did not add a Mini to my collection but you never know Mr Jones could produce another batch like he did with the original case so if you miss out you can pray and who knows I might get one but I have no clue where I would put it. Your right about the price and it adds up quickly as you add all the bits, I have no regrets and am happy to have them.

You are absolutely correct about jumping on Amiga projects-thats why I jumped on the Checkmate cases, Hese AA3000+ & A4000TX board builds, ZZ9000 GPU, Highway Pro USB Zorro cards, and registered for the ReA4091 SCSI card project.

Nice system! I contributed to the Kickstarter but I did not need a new case in my office... But I 100% support what Stephen Jones is doing. The UnAmiga is pretty darn neat. I really need to do more with mine!

I bought a black Checkmate mini with mistix mitx mister board, and previously bought a full size black 1500 checkmate case which I am putting a Hese built AA3000+ motherboard with Simon sheetmetal fitting kit and custom Hese reduced height daughterboard. Expensive hobby

I love both Stephen Jones and Edu Arana, they are pretty cool doodz! you did great too man. the unamiga project is pretty cool, but what I would have loved to see is an ITX/ATX/Mini ITX version of the old motherboards, A3000, A4000, and real CPUs would have been so awesome. OR a vampire!

Chris, you have done it again. Superb and I am happy to say I got mine in the Kickstarter but with the Raspberry Pi only. Really excellent quality as you say Top Shelf. Love your work and are you going to try one of his monitors as the Kickstart is coming August or September?

@@ChrisEdwardsRestoration That is alright as I probably won't get one as I currently have this beautiful 34inch Samsung Wide screen monitor that allows me to watch anything and I have no room for a 19" 4:3 or 5:4 or whatever it is. However for a collector like your self I reckon you would have space for one. They look really good and Steve does an amazing job with his products.

I have an A1500+ (the normal MicroATX version, not the MiniITX version) and the case looks quite good and is mostly metal, with a decently high build quality as noted here. Unfortunately the back panel for the ATX / vertical option required some milling work with a dremel for the Geforce 1050Ti card I installed (allows using VRR monitors so that WinUAE has zero tearing in PAL or NTSC), as the slot openings are slightly off and I could not plug in a Displayport cable into the video card as I received it in the box. I don't know if this a 1-off problem or if they are all like this. There is no good way to install a 2.5" drive, none of the mounting holes align, you're going to have to fabricate an adapter plate or use zip ties, so your build with this case will be much cleaner using m.2 drives. Otherwise this case hits the nostalgia buttons quite well.

thats an almost identical expansion board to what deskpi sells with the deskpi lite except green and missing afew components i wonder if they had the same supplier for that also looks like the same controller but different plastic to what the new a600gs ships with, hopefully the functions would work the same if you were to lose one hopefully more modern amiga inspired cases come out in the future my a1222 plus is depressingly inside a old hp pavilion case lol would also like some to put my nxp dev boards inside since the amigaone boards are basically just premium versions of them so i feel they would fit an amiga look

9 Fingers is a good test just for the fact I am yet to find an emulation or fpga solution that does not get the graphics corrupted in a couple parts of this Demo. Any recommendations on that?

My original A3000 clone case arrived two years ago. I still haven't opened the original box that was sent. The original case including shipping was around $400 cad minus a PSU.

I just hope what's in the box is everything I ordered, for as you know, these cases are great quality and not cheap. I also purchased this with the zorro slot adapter for an aca500 accelerator that normally sits outside of the A500, but found out that it does not work due to a possible timing issues. I also just received an Amiga mini, which may protect my original hardware from use.

I have some important text files on my Amiga SCSI HD’s to retrieve. I have a Linux server that is good, but all my Ami are dead. Is FS-UAE the best way to get the text files? Do you know a SCSI/USB product to use?

linux you can mount the amiga partitions natively. just hook it up to a scsi card and google how to mount amiga file system on linux. its super easy.

Sadly I do not take Paypal, I had to make a decision and they are very bad for businesses. Plus you get more protection with your normal credit card.

@@ChrisEdwardsRestoration Sorry, you're totally missing my point. All Amiga systems belong on the LAN as first class citizens. The price of admission? A true Ethernet port using the Zorro bus, the PCMCIA interface or - if the option is available - on the motherboard itself. Unfortunately, it seems as if the developer of this system was totally uninterested getting their creation online. It's sad, really - not to mention a missed opportunity.
