Everyone is saying Ben Johnson is the solution to all the Bear's woes, as if Ben is sitting by the phone, waiting on the call from their divisional rival to take the job.

@tdaddy6505 I can imagine Ben coming over to the Bears, and purposely sabotaging both the Bear's next season, and Caleb's development, and purposely getting fired, and coming back to the Lions with an even higher pay, and Dan Cambell telling him "good job"

I like Johnson for the Jaguars. T-Law proved he's as good as his play-caller. I can't figure out _WHAT_ Pederson is trying to do there *unless* it's to get fired. I don't think that Johnson cares to rebuild a team from the ground up, but at the same time, that might be what the Jags need. But would he get to do that in either place or even have influence? The Bears have partially done this to themselves. Eberflus humiliated Fields once in front of all of them. Then when fields called out what they |-now_ claim to be done with out of anger & frustration, not one of them supported Fields. While not all of the current team was there for either event, the Team Leader who lashed out _at_ 'Flus in the locker-room after the game was. I know players' memories tend to be as short as that of fans, but there may be some lingering ones among him & whatever others lived through that. Or maybe they all disliked Fields too.

That Hail Mary play broke them. They haven’t won an game since Washington beat them, it was 2 straight blow outs into 3 close games they lost in different humiliating fashions and an 3rd blow out

I went into the season figuring 6-11 was a best case scenario. Williams still has promise, he showed well as a rookie and getting a real coach/O-line will be key to any attempts to rebuild over a few years.

Over 30 points against this year's Jaguars & Panthers, one team whose players know their owners & coaches aren't trying to win & the other being the last place defense. After calling this terrible play-calling out the Bears changed their plays for 4 weeks & Fields averaged 31 points over twice as long a span against _slightly_ better defenses (the Patriots & Lions) to much better ones of the Cowboys & Dolphins. No one seems willing to give Fields any credit there. This was the year _before_ they acquired D.J. Moore. So what was he even _working_ with? After those 4 weeks the Bears returned to calling the plays they *knew* produced under 20 ppg. So Fields did this without receivers, or a decent o-line, & under coaches either intentionally or too inept to not realize they were calling plays designed to undermine their own offense. The guy can't catch a break.

0:42 he did not let go of Matt Nagy, the organization fired both Ryan Pace and Matt Nagy. Ryan Poles was hired two days before Eberflus. In which they had a consortium of consultants, come up with three choices for Ryan Poles to choose from as the organization (McCaskeys) wanted to get him started right away and give him less choices because that worked out…

They've never had a 4,000 yard passer. They HAVE had 4,000 yard passing seasons, they had one at least in 2013, they threw for 4,281 yards, split between Jay Cutler (2,621) and Josh McCown (1,829). I think this gets misunderstood a lot. Doesn't change the fact they haven't developed good quarterbacks obviously.

Poles has next year left on his contract and Grandma Bear is not likely to open her old pocketbook and eat his salary. They also won't pull out big money for a new coach, Thats not how it's done in Bears land. They will put garbage on the field. Last in the NFL Central 2025 and 2026 and then forever. New owner please.

Unless the Lions revert back to being an incompetent franchise, there's no way, Ben Johnson is not leaving They finally have a guy, a young guy too (he's only 38), who can actually call good plays. Detroit has the number one offence in the NFL. I don't see Johnson leaving that.

Lifetime Bears fan who was at the Commanders game with the hail mary... This season has just been painful in all senses of the word. Every week we're seemingly in the game just to make dumb decision after dumb decision. You can only see Shane Waldron try to run Swift up the middle with a dysfunctional interior line so many times before you realize you're not going to learn as a team. Unlike many others I was not a complete Eberflus hater. It was very evident to me that his former time as a defensive coordinator was making our defense compete at a level above their talent. However, he just is not capable of running an offense, and his clock management skills were appalling. This made it all the more frustrating when you have a Rookie QB where you can visibly see struggling because they're not receiving the support they need from our coaches. I am still very optimistic about next season, but man, it's been a rough go being a Bears fan as of late...

The Commanders rebuild is going MUCH better than the Bears because Washington tore everything down last year and started from the ground up…The Bears meanwhile forced Caleb to play for Eberflus and the McCaskeys. That said, the right coach (preferably a Shanahan/McVay type) can unlock Caleb’s vast potential and make the Bears a powerhouse.

@@proudpennsylvaniaman7996 Sports fans ignore reality. Eberflus had never been an HC before. They are responsible for unmeasurable things like team morale etc. In the preseason of his first year Justin Fields went over to shake his hand on the sideline after a TD was scored. Know what this team leader did? He glared at Fields like it was 1930 & walked coldly away, leaving him hanging there. Other subjective things aside, I know this because I saw it on film, just as I saw when Fields first started his new tendency of stopping himself mid-throw, as I heard Eberflus boast about deciding what plays to limit the offense to, as I saw him & the rest of the team react with total unconcern with Fields' new tendency. Why _should they_ be concerned; Wasn't he following instructions after all? & that's the thing. Back when this happened *everybody **_KNEW_* those were play-calls with reporters asking only Eberflus (after his stupidly proud boast) & fans insisting that "they *had to call those plays* because Fields can't read defenses" as if that made any sense. They've know for over two years that 'Flus was sabotaging the offense at least while fields was there. Now they're all acting like they "know" he's bad because of Caleb only what difference have we seen _in_ Caleb now that 'Flus is gone? This is all people speaking as if they know things they do not.
