The Chicago Bears just got some huge and exciting news because the Trey Smith to the Chicago Bears rumors are heating up, and this according to espn, this is the type of year where players are rumored to go everywhere, but i actually do see trey smith as a fit in chicago and he most definitely would help the direction of where this franchise is trying to go. And then on top of that we have the draft, maybe Ashton Jeanty, so much to talk about there, and then recently Ben Johnson went on the herd with Colin Cowherd, so i wanna talk about some of the things he said there as well.

I think the bears need to get good star power at o line but more importantly depth at all o line positions. Your starting group can be good but one injury and it could turn upside down if we can get good depth at o line I think we can be a fantastic unit up front 300 pound dudes are bound to get injured you just need a good replacement

With the Salary Cap, teams literally can't afford five stud starting linemen plus top-line players as backups. Tough decisions need to be made: basically mixing promising rookies with proven veterans in their upgraded O-Line.

@sebascarranza4713 they don't just need starters but depth pieces as well. U are looking at like 5 or 6 new guys. Throwing money at the problem so u can take a vanity rb in the first is not what good organizations do especially when u can take a caleb johnson down the board. And if let's say they did spend 50 mil on tre Smith and others. That does not help the dline either. U could say oh the lions took Gibbs in the first. Sure but that team was already built. He was the cherry on top since the rest of the team was good. We aren't at that place. We need an eat your vegetables draft. It's not sexy but we need lineman on both sides.

@gl3five our rb room isn't terrible its just meh. But the lines are both atrocious and more of a need. U know what helps rbs out as well as a qb? A strong oline. Also u can get a quality back in the 3d or 4th this year. The lineman are more scarce this year so should be more of a priority especially when u can still upgrade a rb down the draft.

On the surface, this sounds like a great opportunity for the Bears. But the, we have to remember that this is the same Bears team that let Khalil Mack, Leonard Floyd and Roquan Smith all walk rather than pay them what they were worth. Best-case scenario, Trey Smith will come to Chicago, add some value for a couple of years, and then move on when it becomes apparent that the Bears do not believe in rewarding players who can make a difference.

I would not take any O-line man in the draft until pick 18 or so. The draft class at OT is pretty weak and thin but the DE, DT and Guard are fairly strong. Plus, Braxton Jones ranked by PFF as the 14 best LT and 20 best OT overall (Alaric Jackson was 18th and Wright was 16th). Thus, the Bears have a stronger need at G, C, DT and DE before OT. Like Caleb Williams... I don't view Jeanty as generational but a very and I think there are a few RBs on par with Jeanty. Thus the 2 OSU RBs... Let's look at the stats... Boise State played 14 games with 5 games against the top 64th Rush Defenses. Plus, 1 FCS team. Ohio State played 16 games with 12 games against the top 41st Rush Defenses, Including 5 in the top 10. Despite that both starting OSU running backs had over 1000 yards rushing. Quinshon only had 194 carries (AVG 12.125 per game. season high 17 carries) Treveyon only had 144 carries (AVG 9 per game, season high 12 carries) Plus, OSU lost their Remington Award winning Center and All-Big Ten LT to season ending injuries during the season. Total Jeanty 40 Games 750 Carries 4769 Yards 6.4 AVG 50 TDs 3 years in Mountain West Judkins 42 Games 739 Carries 3785 Yards 5.5 AVG 45 TDs 2 years in SEC and 1 year in Big Ten Henderson 47 Games 590 Carries 3761 Yards 6.4 AVG 42 TDs 4 years in Big Ten

Allen was disappointing last year! He missed/dropped to many passes. DJ had attitude that was not who I’ve seen in the past.DJ is a really good WR, Rome could turn into a really good WR.. A solid pass rush so sweat doesn’t get doubled all the time will be huge. And as always a Oline that stronger than a wet paper bag
