Listen...J Hood has it right. I've worked in the corporate world for my entire career and things can change from one day to the next. I don't know of one example where senior management doesn't have the right to make adjustments. It's foolish and immature to pick up your marbles and go home. If Poles quits because of that, it shows his true character and, good luck in finding the next job.

If Poles isn't given the opportunity to pick his HC, then I would walk if I was Poles. The entire Bears organization knew the Bears were going through a rebuild and that they were going to lose a ton of games. The Bears cannot hold that against Poles since they knew that was the situation. Kevin Warren literally has no GM/HC/Playing experience in football. Kevin Warren is a Lawyer and an empty suit.

If the Bears kept their preseason offense, they could be having a season like the Vikings (who were also 7-10 last season). They went from playing 4 QBs in the preseason, passing 23.8 times a game, to playing their worst statistical preseason QB, and passing 33.5 times a game.

@@specialenergy5199 he addressed both Oline and dline he just didn’t evaluate those decisions on the Oline properly. His addressing of the dline brought us Dexter, billing’s, sweat, Booker, pickins. I very much disagreed with some choices but he did adresse it and most of them as fine if not good. I would say the jury is still out on Booker but the arrow is pointing to « a steal »… my my my, how our fans forget so easily. He even adresses the online through FA, the draft, and trades. He was just much less successful there…

Every GM has misses on every team, the question is does misses outweigh the hits? I would say Poles is right at 500. If you get rid of Poles the next GM would possibly blow up the team and set the team back another 2-3 years back.

Could you imagine the optics to the rest of the NFL and other coaches/GM's if the Bears let Kevin Warren take the HC decision away from the GM? Its not like Kevin Warren has actually team building experience. Kevin Warren is a lawyer. Yeah good luck getting any real good GM/HC candidates come to the Bears. Poles impressed me from the beginning, but over time since, I've seen far too many mistakes in trades and evaluating talent. He shoulda come up with several "All Pro" players by now considering the high draft picks he's had the opportunity to make. He neglected building the team foundation at the cost of prioritizing WRs, and RBs. Both our lines are below average by NFL standards and no match for the other NFC North teams. Currently, this team is built to fail. Get a tough, strong minded HC who wants to concentrate on the fundamentals.

Not sure why week to week we have a new focus on who the fans/players or owners are pissed at. The season was lost weeks ago, and everyone blamed Eberflus. Justified or not it doesn't matter. The season isn't going to get better week to week after we fire the HC. Eberflus whether people like it or not is a better head coach then Thomas Brown. Once you fired Flus you basically screwed the defense which was the only thing keeping the Bears in games. Bears fandom/Organization reaps what it sows. Why beat down on Poles now as if he's the new reason why the team is sucking this season? We know the team is bad this season already and the coaches are getting replaced. Ryan Poles is the reason why our CAP situation/draft picks/Caleb Williams/Young talent is on this team. No one else gets credit for that. Poles tore the team down to the studs in his first season, everyone knew we were going to stink. The Bears went 3-14 then 7-10 which is great coming out of a full deep rebuild. Yes 2024 sucks and we should've won more games but we didn't and we fired the HC. Doesn't mean the bones of the team aren't 10x better then what it was.

If Poles stays then Warren needs to let him run the coaching search unburdened.Yes Warren will likely have input to bounce ideas as a checks and balances, and hopefully that is it. Also if Poles can't handle having to report/communicate to the franchise President then a GM job isn't for him. Poles has shown he needs someone assisting him in decisions anyway Cap. He's made some horrible roster/coaching staff choices. He should appreciate differing opinions. Hell Cunningham kept him from trading up for Rome.
