A nice build 👌

Thank you for doing this nice and slow and explaining what you’re doing. It is most helpful. I wish all videos were like that especially when you’re going off of plans. Not everybody has built something before.

you changed your mind of the box and the opening is how the plans called for

about to build this same one, im going to use tin for the roof. shingles have a sht ton of chemicals that will leach into the water collection.

Can we see the finished video of the coop? Love the extra touches you have incorporated to the plans.

What is the overall height? I like this design and was wondering if it’s possible to downsize it and build it slightly smaller?
@doubledranchmi012 жыл бұрын
It is 69 inches from base to top. Not including the legs. I am sure if you did the math right it is possible.

I love this coop and it has a door! Where do I get the plans from? Do you think a woman could do this by herself? Ty

Hellyeah ain't no point in getting a energy-efficient window when you didn't insulate the walls
@doubledranchmi012 жыл бұрын
Chickens don’t need insulation, we’re not raising no sissy chickens lol. Northern Michigan tough. They do get a heat light for night though.

What changed your mind about the nesting box lid? I see you decided to go with what the plan called for instead of the drop down door.
Hello I wonder what the ideal size would be for a 40-year-old chicken, European size in meters and centimeters, m/mm

I bought those same plans, can you maybe add up just what you bought.? I know you said you have some stuff already. I’m just trying to see if the materials are cheaper than buying the over EZ coop.
@doubledranchmi013 жыл бұрын
I want to say it was around $700 from our local Home Depot.
@dezinicky94773 жыл бұрын
@@doubledranchmi01 Thank you so much. That is a lot cheaper.

Good! How many chickens will it host?
@doubledranchmi012 жыл бұрын
Thank you! The coop is 24 square feet of floor space with 5 nesting boxes.
@cycletim12 жыл бұрын
I’ve read a lot that you should have minimum 3 square feet per chicken… 4 is ideal though. With the floor of this coop being 24 square feet it can hold between 6 chickens comfortably or 8 chickens that don’t mind being a bit cozier. This is not a rule… just something I’ve heard and read quite a few times.

We always go over, but they don’t seem to mind. I have a problem going into tractor supply
