Chorus:
I'm not ready to make nice
I'm not ready to back down
I'm still mad as hell and I don't have time
To go 'round and 'round and 'round
It's too late to make it right
I probably wouldn't if I could
'Cause I'm mad as hell, can't bring myself
To do what it is you think I should

Apparently you don't understand the assignment. The assignment is to wake up and quit being lead around by the nose by either side. Politicians are a distraction to what is really going on. Research the Federal Reserve Bank that isn't Federal and is run by a bunch of Jewish banking families. North Carolina ,Florida New Orleans and Hawaii were all attacked by weather warfare. We're being eliminated by the banking families. Voting for Democrat's and Republicans is waste of your time.

I've always admired the way Emily and Martie stood right by Natalie's side during that whole Bush debacle even though they risked ruining their careers. It really says a lot about their character and integrity. The way so many people criticized and shunned them also said a lot about a whole bunch of people's character and integrity. Especially all of the assholes that were supposed to be their contemporaries and peers. A lot of true colors were shown by a lot of people.

May 2023, and with the state of this country right now, I needed to hear this song. Remembering what they went through is so reprehensible but the fact that they never backed down makes me so proud to be American. Then I come to this video and watch the women in the audience screaming the words along with them. It truly gives me hope. An American Legend this band is.

This song is for my mom. She once said that in 65 years of being married to my dad "she had never won a fight". She would always finish the dishes, clean up the house and then go in to where my dad was and make some comment about the Lawrence Welk Show on television and they would move on. Dad wasn't a bad guy. He just could not express himself. So this song is for my mom who passed on 18 years ago. For Frieda who always made nice. RIP.

Several years later I came to realize that what you did and how you stuck to your convictions was the very essence of what it is to be an American. I not only got over my own short sightedness, but have defended you to my friends and family on more than one occasion. You may never read this, but I would like to publicly apologize to all three of you for contributing to the hurt and pain you and your families went through. Stay true Ladies.

We showered you with thunderous applause and a lot love. Apparently some of your concerts had people booing, not in Columbus. We love the chick's in Columbus for standing and speaking your truth about Bush. And we are determined to stand with you as long as you need our support. Finally, I am a rabid fan of yours. When Natalie made those comments, I was a kid and didn't know what she said but knew it was something about Bush. I was living overseas because of my mom's job with the government. I was old enough to understand that Bush was making America look bad. I looked up to them for standing up to Bush. I remembering saying "Heck ya!" They expressed what I was feeling as a 9 year old.

What Natalie said about George Bush is nothing compared to what late night talk show hosts say about Donald Trump on a nightly basis! The Chicks were at the height of their game at that time, and I just can't believe how conservative country music fans turned their backs on them, and radio stations were destroying their CDs. They have a special place that no one else can fill, and I'm happy to see them coming back! These last ten years went by in the blink of an eye! Your fans are still here, and still love you! We're waiting to see you rise to the zenith once again! :)

Back when all this went down I had never listed to the Chicks, didn’t known anything about them, never listened to their music. I read about what Natalie said at that concert in England, and then how millions of ignorant, closed minded, so-called fans turned on them. I immediately went out and bought all of their albums as my way of supporting free speech. At some point after that I started actually listening to all of those albums I bought. Became a fan for life. Love the Chicks!

The meaning of this song is very strong, I remember when I was a small child, and I watched the mtv channel for hours, and this song was among the most listened to, now that I am a 28-year-old man, I give it a meaning completely adapted to My life, I understand perfectly in the context that they wrote this song, when they were censored in the United States, today many people continue to be censored, but we should not be afraid to say what we think when a situation is not correct, i love The Chicks, thanks for inspiring me, Hugs From Argentina

@@Ra-ze4vy They are too, that's why I said "they are one of the best" and not "they are the best".

Talk about a powerful message. The sweet taste of revenge. And it also speaks to our situation today.

Natalie's look at 0.35 seconds speaks volumes. Many men have experienced that look before. It is a shiver rendering moment. LOL

C'est selon moi la chanson que Natalie fait avec le plus d'Émotion avec raison... Cette chanson est parfaitement bien écrite et remplie de véracité, elle me met toujours une larme à l'oeil...
