If we women did this IRL, this album may not have been necessary. What if we didn't cheat with people we know are not available?
@esseraph4 жыл бұрын
@Jolisa Sounds like you unnecessarily felt attacked by this LOL. Plenty of women do that kind of thing, and I'm sure plenty of them are like you, thinking they're especially virtuous. There was no need for you to say, "Well I'M not like THOSE women." Unless of course you felt guilty or called out. And it absolutely sounds like your "if they LIED" anecdote did happen to you. No one attacked you, and you didn't need to justify anything or defend yourself. Maybe assuage your own conscience before being dismissive of someone who made a valid comment about humanity and community.

If you have ever been in a marriage where a spouse was living a double life, lying, and impacting everyone around them with their actions and choices - - to see other women standing beside Natalie in this video while she tells her story and talks about the anger...and to have them reach out and hold her, support her, and let her sing loud and proud her story is so incredibly symbolic. You lift each other up in times like this and by doing so you lift up other women out there also. Thank you!

Every woman and every man who has been a victim of toxic hateful "masculinity" needs to understand what these brave and talented women are saying here. Believe it or not, there are good men out there who have been victimized by the sickness of the character of the toxic man, who thinks power and violence makes a man. Honor, decency, respect, creation and not destruction, cooperation, and most of all, LOVE are the values of a real man or woman. Time to throw off the shackles and be free together to grow and build a better world. Either that, or we will destroy all life on Earth. THE TIME HAS COME TO SHOW PEOPLE THAT NOBODY IS NOBODY!

They’re really making some phenomenal new music out of Natalie’s tragic relationship/marriage/ex-husband. She’s not taking any of it lying down & certainly isn’t staying quiet about her shitty ex-husband’s behavior, instead blasting him until literally everyone hears. Sucks to be him right now lol. But seriously, my heart goes out to her - I understand that heartbreak. It’s a LOT and it takes a long time to work through the relentless pain, anger, and sadness that comes in waves .... all those stages of grief. And it often feels like it’s neverending. If this helps her to process and heal, bring it on, ladies. We’re all here for it. Supporting each other through the absolute toughest of times ..💪🏼💪🏼💪🏼

Loved that it was all shot in one take. The ending of Natalie falling down bc of the pain and hurt which is all too much to bare. But she know she has to be strong especially for her children. So she doesn’t quit she gets back up with the help of her longtime girlfriends. Women empowering women. So they all start running to what lies ahead leaving the pain and hurt in the past. Looking ahead at what the future holds. “Getting past everything” as stated in the the lyrics.

It didn't screech to a halt. Ya they had some haters for Natalie making a statement that should have been no big deal. It was her opinion and we later found out exactly what GWD stood for when he lied to Congress to get his war. That was something none of them ever did and they showed a lot of class and style in supporting each other and staying together. And then they wiped the floor at the Grammy's when their next album came out. So I don't see anything that shows how they lost their career. I would say they were probably just grateful to know who their real fans were and who were the one's that could be manipulated by peer pressure! Just my .02¢

Haha no, I’m really not. Making country music is not racist. But the whole world wants to point fingers and then prove how “not” racist they are; it’s just ridiculous at this point. How about we take race out of the sentences we speak, and just treat each other like humans? For those who keep saying "free speech, they shouldn't have been blacklisted" That is what free speech is, they said what they wanted. They were not arrested, nor were they stifled. However, with free speech, that means we that don't want to listen to the chicks are protected as well. Radio stations are privately owned, not government owned. If the owners & management choose not to play them because the chicks exercised their right to free speech then the chicks & their fans should not be upset about the radio station exercising their right not to play them. In other words, if your upset because the radio won't play them, open your own damned radio station. It's a free country .. & I certainly hope it remains that way.

@@truthteller113 First of all, when someone comes on with a fake name and a completely contentless profile (obviously opened just to make this comment) I tend to yawn. But of course what an artist stands for can have consequences. That's why I'll never listen to Nugent or Kid Rock (as pathetic as they are as artists, although Ted CAN play guitar). Natalie's comment was so innocuous it's laughable. Nugent and Rock and other celebrities have made a career out of spewing nasty, divisive, violent and misogynistic drivel. Natalie made an anti-war comment. Country music came unglued. They got the last laugh. They won album of the year for Not Ready to Make Nice, and Gaslighter is all the rage right now. SOME people get it.

We’ve waited for so long and I am so glad to have your voices back. In saying that I’m sorry , I’ve been there, I am there, it’s painful to hear and know the pain and anger and just wanting to wish it back to the imaginary life you had, you guys did great the album is beautiful. I cried a lot. It’s cathartic . It’s well written. It’s relatable . Also I wonder what you would’ve wrote if no holds barred and didn’t have to get “approval “ from the one who took it for granted, tore it apart, gaslight and just ugh. Less censored . Miranda wrote a beautiful album the most beautiful album of her career with the pistol Annie’s intentionally so that people would hear pistol Annie’s and not her name to her beautiful sad real life . She didn’t feel like it was “safe” for her career path to do it solo and is the best writing of her entire life. I’d give that a listen too btw. Interstate Gospel. It’s relatable . Sad but true. I, so glad you guys are back but also I’m so sorry for the pain and hurt of it all. It feels a bit terrible to be excited and happy about the return when to get to this point you had to have lives totally imploded . I love you three. You’re smart, talented, strong, kind, loving, amazing , beautiful beings and I like to think even if it doesn’t all way feel that way instantaneously that we get back what we put in the world. Also watch dirty John the Betty Broderick story❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ loved the album before it even had a name. Loved you guys almost my entire life and waiting for you aways worth the wait. Beautiful .

The metaphor is simple yet powerful. Good friends love you, they support you, they lift you up. When the other two girls ran ahead (happens in friendships) but as soon as Natlie fell down they were back and they lifted her up off the ground and it was like they never left. It's so beautiful.

Ladies!!! I am so freakin happy to see you back!!! I have been a fan since the 90s when I was little. Even when those dumb asses started burning your CDs (I'm from Oklahoma so you can imagine people's opinions around me) I always said screw them. Your music got me through very traumatic difficult times. In fact, "Top of the world" is one that I relate with entirely, I showed that video to my husband the other day and it made him cry! I can't watch it myself without balling but I love it. It's a great song, you ladies are true artists in your music and your videos. It's awesome how you ladies are standing standing together through this tough time for Natalie. The first part is touching, Natalie looking to "yesterday" and Martie pulling her head forward...Love you ladies!
