There are Aither (Light and Upper Air), Hemera (Day), the Moirai (Destiny): Clotho (Birth and Past), Lachesis (Life and Present), Atropos (Death and Future), Charon (Death and Bone), Thanatos (Peaceful and Gentle Death), Hypnos (Sleep), Nemesis (Punishment, Balance, and Justice), Eris (Discord and Strife), Sophrosyne (Temperance, Abstention, Self-Control, Restraint, and Discretion), Apate (Deception), Dolos (Trickery), Geras (Old Age), the Keres (Violent Death), Arai (Curse), Moros (Doom and Nothingness), Momus (Blame), Oizys (Distress), Epiphron (Prudence, Thoughtfulness, and Carefulness), and Elpis (Hope). Moreover, Nyx is also consort with Chaos and has a daughter Akhlys (Poison). Next, before Nyx adopted the Erinyes (Furies): Alecto (Angry), Megaera (Envy) and Tisiphone (Vengeance), she is consort with Uranus and has a daughter Lyssa (Madness). Finally, Nyx is consort with Cerberus and has the creature Hellhounds.

Nyx's extended family tree: • Aether and Hemera are the parents of Thalassa. • Thanatos, in some versions, is married to Macaria, the daughter of Hades and Persephone who is the goddess of blessed death. • Hypnos marries Pasithea and gave birth to the Oneiroi. • Nemesis is raped by Zeus and gave birth to Helen of Sparta/Troy, who is under the guardianship of Queen Leda and King Tyndareus of Sparta. In some versions as well, she, with Tartarus, gave rise to the Telchines. • Eris follows her mother's footsteps and gave rise to Atë, Limos, Lethe, etc.
