My theory is she could take away night leaving us with only day or only night. Hence "goddess of night" she had knowledge & power to destroy the world if she wanted to She could just live in space considering its Dark so the world was nothing to her but to the other gods it was everything. they knew Nyx could Alter the World if she wanted to and don't even get me started on her children
