To answer your question at the end, Timo, no, I don't like the exercise as much as I like you. That's because you as a person are way more likable than all your exercises put together! No doubt, though, the drills and exercises are great. But, frankly, I enjoy just watching and listening to you. I don't think there has ever been or will ever be a video of yours where I'm not smiling. And I think I speak for most, if not all the subscribers. We love 'ya, Timo!

You make the hardest drills easy to understand. Always honest and informative. Hope you get back to 100% soon Timo. The main stage isn’t the same without you!!!

Hi Timo, I am Chinese and I would like to know if there is any classic German drill please. It is so interesting for me to watch a non-Chinese table tennis channel. I look forward to watching your future videos!
@andreasmayr58763 жыл бұрын
Classic German/Europe Drill is Falkenberg. One in the BH/BH Topspin, second into BH/VH Topspin, third one wide VH/VH Topspin. Repeat.

Nice drill, Timo. I remember this deadly weapon in your arsenal against Chinese superstars like Zhang Zhike and Ma Long. Also love how your old rival/friend Michael Maze does this type of shots.

Hi Timo. ;-)

I'm only at a lower intermediate level, and I didn't feel very comfortable doing forehands from deep into the backhand side. So I asked my partner if we could train that, and it helped a lot! It felt weird having my left foot (I'm right-handed) so far forwards, and at first I was very bad and couldn't do a proper stroke. Isn't that weird that doing exactly the same stroke from a different position can feel so different?? It should be exactly the same, yet I just wasn't used to seeing the table at that angle.

a notable difference in your topspin compared to the chinese is that you hardly stretch the arm but use almost exclusively body weight transfer, perhaps some shoulder and wrist, while the chinese bring their arm parallel to their body and then use a lot of forearm rotation about the elbow, in addition to the other elements Can you elaborate on why they do so and you do not, and all of you produce high quality forehand topspins?

can anyone answer. Should you contact ball early, in front of body? Or should you wait, and hit a little later (not behind you, but when ball is more parallel with body). Thanks
