What’s funny is this provides the backstory for how Alvin got the golden echo harmonica that we see in the 1981 film “A Chipmunk Christmas” in which Alvin gives up the harmonica to a sick boy and ends up getting a chance to play said harmonica at Carnegie Hall but he had already given it up, fortunately Mrs. Claus gives him a replacement to play. Leaving us with the knowledge that Satans golden harmonica rest in the possession of a young boy.

What may be interesting is that Blues Traveler had covered this song, and replaced all the fiddle parts with harmonica parts. And the "golden harmonica" reference (which replaces the golden fiddle reference in the original) in the song is also made mention of in the 1981 Christmas special.
