There are many things about the Catholic Church that are just.. wrong. Jesus says you must be born again to enter the kingdom of Heaven, I'm not sure what that means to Catholics. They also say the the word of the Catholic Church is equal to the Bible, confession.. no man can forgive sins, only Jesus. Mary did not get raptured into heaven either. There's no such thing as purgatory.. to believe that would say the final work on the cross was insignificant. I know it's awhile since your comment, but I hope you did read your Bible again. I wish the catholic church kept The Bible in its original format. The Regular NKJV is easy to read and my favorite.

@@julianaallen8477 this is not the place to reject Catholic teachings you don’t understand or believe. People of all religions are waking up to Jesus with this series. Do you know for a fact that the most precious person in God’s life would not be assumed into Heaven? There were witnesses. And believing in purgatory does not diminish one ounce the sacrifice Jesus made for us. Yes, he forgave our sins but we all continue to sin, it’s human nature. So we must still try not to sin and pray for forgiveness when we do. But all of our sins have left stains on our souls and purgatory is where we go to be cleansed before seeing the face of God. I’m not asking you to believe that, but just to not make public comments on Catholic beliefs because again I ask you, how do you know for sure?

@jemsmom97 where do you find purgatory in the Bible? Jesus said it is finished. We are saved by Grace through faith. Jesus is the mediator between God and man. Not a priest. I'm not bashing Catholic individuals. It's Rome that's the problem, anyway where is purgatory found in the Bible?

The "Adonai El Roi" / "The God who sees me" moment between Nicodemus and his wife is brought back a little later in the episode when Jesus walks into Simon and Eden's kitchen and surprises Eden. He says to her that he knows the sacrifice she is making because of Simon's answering His call to "Follow me." Then he says to Eden, "But I SEE YOU - do you understand?" So in that moment, Jesus expressed himself as Adonai El Roi. I'm so impressed with the writing in this series!

I missed that one completely. Did you catch the “Dad Joke” in the wedding scene? When Jesus walked out of what looked like the bathroom he made a comment back into the room as he walked away about Frogs, something like watch out for the Frogs in there or get those Frogs out of there. The Frog joke is a reference to a fart 💨 how a Dad would say they stepped on a Frog LOL!!

I was saved when I was a very young child! I remember holding on to the pue for 3 Sundays in a row, I was so terrified to go forward; alone, but desperating needing to meet my Lord! I have prayed this prayer several times, and each time my spirit is renewed! Thank you for this Sermon! You have filled my heart with joy, security for the future with Christ, and such happiness that I could dance here and now and I am in a wheelchair! I watch you each time that I see your reaction! I prayed it, whispering it into the wind. This series....has made me see my relationship with Jesus in so many ways. I would pray to God and thank him but I never wanted to burden him with my problems....I never wanted him to see my filth or failure. This show has shown me how our relationship is supposed to be and I’m beyond thankful for him to be working through all of you to reach people like me. God bless you all and I can’t wait to see where this journey with God will take us. I’m ready to do Gods will....not sure what that really is but I know I will spread the good news of Jesus with my family and friends more. Many have lost their faith or don’t seem to be in a close relationship with God anymore. So lately I have been bringing him up, asking them how their relationship with God has been and I’m astonished by what I’m hearing. I never knew how much my family needed someone like me to spread Gods goodness. I’m the black sheep in the family so it’s weird for them to hear me speaking so lovingly of him. I don’t try to be brass, I just calmly ask and listen. I remind them that God will always be with them, they just have to ask. I leave it at that but I think In the last two days I helped start move some mountains that God wanted me to move in my family. Remind them who they are and how loved they are. I hope one day to fulfill Gods full will he has in store for me. Again have no idea what that is but I know it’s Good because he is Good.

I love how Jesus says "You were not present for any of this." Seems so relevant for today. Are people pointing fingers at others right now because of what ancestors here in America did centuries ago? Anger and hatred of groups are being stirred up right now. But Jesus' teaching is not aligned with that.

I prayed with you. I've been the only Jew in whatever place I lived. My mother taught me some hebrew when I was in elementry school, buy she had to go to work when my father had to leave the area to find work so she didn't have to continue the lessons. Then years later my son surprised me when he was Bar Mitsva in his 30's. I still live in a town where I'm the only Jew, but I hope to be able to move to Tenissee to be near the MTOI congregation. I'm 72 years old and maybe I wont get to do that, but I love watching The Chosen on my computer and I love watching your teachings as well.( please excuse the spelling)

I received Jesus 40 years ago, but because of the errors I learned from my unbelieving father and the lack of doctrinal teaching given by the churches I've been in- and the errors in understanding that abound in American Christian media- I have spent 40 years searching out just what that means. The Chosen and especially your commentaries have deepened and changed my understanding and surrender to our gentle, but strict! Father. 6/1/21 I prayed it. I am saved for over 40 years. I received the Baptism of the Holy Ghost in 1994. I pray this pray each time I hear it. It renews that precious memory of when I was lost and I knew it. I was afraid God was finished with me and would never call me again. But He did call and I received in August of 1979. I pray this prayer in renewal of that covenant. Thank you.

What I love about this show is how they include women as strong important characters. We are represented as part of the fabric, not just a side comment. I had never put together that Jesus' first miracle and his first reveal as the Messiah were because of women. Makes me smile!

The first mention of the word “well” the place where they get water is, in Hagar’s story. The last mention of the word “well” is in the story of the Samaritan woman. Two gentile woman that met Jesus. These two stories are so connected.

I walked in the evening down the road on 5th July this year and said to Jesus looking in the sky: Please Lord save me. At that moment I felt like the Holy Ghost was coming into me and I knew, that I am safe in the hands of the Lord. Incredible to explain it in words. I read the Bible and pray for years, but I have to completely surrender my life to Jesus and let everything go and trust him comepletely, believing the Word and not just intellectually affirming. That’s the huge difference between being religious and a follower of Jesus. You depend on Jesus. In a way it is really scary, but you feel so free. Believing means trusting in the Lord.

It's July 2024, and this is my first opportunity to watch this video. I have seen other more recent videos and am always eager to listen. Thank you for your Ministry Brandon. I let Jesus into my life aged 14 (I'm now 56) But I have only been a practising Christian for the last 3 and half years, thanks to God leading me to our local Methodist Church, where I was baptised (full immersion) What an experience that was, I felt so alive & the Holy Spirit was overflowing within me. Ive just prayed that beautiful prayer with you - thank you so much. I'm cuŕrently following your 'Beyond The Words' series. It is so inspiring and thought provoking, and is teaching me so very much. Amen, Brandon, "He sees us", yes for sure. You are spot on with the analysis. His disciples at times seem to forget Who He is, the Healer of all healers!! Yes, "there is no need". As for Eden, remember too that Simon is always telling her about Him, so she knows who He is, its just a matter of putting the name to a "face" when she saw Him!.

Every post you make reminds me or teaches me something beautiful. Thank you. 'Who are you?' Love it so much. My mom always laughed at this story - 'and she got up and made them dinner.' Poor old woman - didnt even get a day off. My mom would have leapt up to serve, also....

I love your prayer! Thank you so much for sharing it. I also wanted to thank you for sharing the scene where Peter’s mother in law was healed. I’ve seen it before but this time is really driven home, that first Jesus turns to his Heavenly Father before he heals her. What a wonderful acknowledgment of who he is!
