I often forget about the pain Jesus felt by the betrayal of everyone in his close circle. I will pray during Lent to remember always that Jesus was betrayed by his followers and the pain Our Lord felt at that moment. I am still praying my rosary for your safe trip to the Holy Land this summer. God Bless You for your excellent teaching.

Lololol. Jesus was well aware how disliked he was in his homeland. His ways of initiation of youngsters were unusual and unacceptable to normal people. He was confronted by a mob of haters who wanted to throw him off a cliff there and then previously. He was famous for being a user of medicines to cure death. U need virgin fluids in the recipe of the medicines.

Thank you for this beautiful message of encouragement. I want to give up but I will keep faith. It’s been five months since my heart attack because of my heart condition I declined the vaccine. I was fired over my decision. So I lost my job as a social worker. Since losing my job I’ve been having a hard time just providing the basics for my two beautiful sons both are autistic and non verbal. I’m a single mother my husband died three years ago unexpectedly. I have no family nor friends to aid me at this time. Every month I’m in fear of facing homelessness because every month is a struggle coming up with my rent. Please keep me in your prayers I’m so tired of worrying. I’m in constant fear we are going to end up on the streets. Which will be difficult with two young boys. Because every month is a struggle. But I still have Faith God will provide abundantly! Please pray for me. I have nowhere to turn.

Sister, know that God takes care of the widow and the fatherless... He is closest to you now (Yehovah Shammah), than ever before. Continue to rely on Him; I pray your faith grows, strengthens and matures in Him, no matter the circumstance. He is faithful, compassionate, tender, merciful and graceful... He is El-Roi, the Strong One that sees. I'm praying for you and your children, because I know God will give you victory and will open the doors of abundance to you. Remember, he cared for the woman and her child as she served, Elijah... He won't leave nor forsake you or your boys. God bless you and your sons, stand strong like those trees as the storm bends them in all directions, but they stay planted on firm ground: you have the Rock or our salvation to stand on. Shalom

Hello sister! I am late here, what is your status right now? I have been in your shoes , a was there for years, lived in cars and others houses, on floors in people's living rooms with 6 children, and the lord intervened for me. Let me know where you are now, if things have improved. I can help guide you to places for help, I can't guarantee they can do anything now, I waited years, but we can get it started at least, and hopefully get you a jump start and God and take it from there. Keep praying, never stop talking to Jesus and God, I am engaged in conversation all day with the lord to make sure my feet land where they should, and I suggest this to us all. The world is not our friend currently, so stay with the lord at all times!

This was so good... I'll never read Mk. 14 the same. I didn't notice that pattern of the swinging pendulum, that too was an eye opener; I'm currently going through the book of Mark and will read it a lot more carefully, thank you brother for the insight. On a side note: in the grocery store they sell this brand (Yehuda) that the Jewish people use during Unleavened Bread, that looks like big crackers (flat bread). I find them beautiful... they have little pin holes and marks where this flat bread laid while baking, but it reminds me of Jesus' crucified hands and feet and His stripes. I use this bread for my communion on the Sabbath. Shalom

For the past 2videos I’ve been inspired to share this story. I was walking along a sidewalk with my landlady’s granddaughter site-seeing/shopping, when she had stopped to look over some goods outside a store on this sidewalk when a man in the near distance approached me, pointing at my necklace. When he neared, he sighed with relief and said; “oh! I thought you were wearing a cross. “ I told him no (in wonderment because the entire time I was feeling that I was talking with Jesus). He then asked me; “will you do me one favor?” “Will you tell them this dishonors me.” I agreed, still in wonderment. He smiled and thanked me before walking away. He disappeared just as quickly as he appeared and nobody saw us together, not even the granddaughter who was looking right at me the entire time. I don’t share that experience often enough, but I made a promise to share his words and it is thanks to your teachings that I better understand a deeper connection to why Jesus told me to tell everyone that the cross dishonors him. We have, once again allowed ourselves to worship that which is not him. We, as he told me, dishonor him.

Thank you for another amazing teaching. One thing I learned that is awesome is the timing of the anointing of Jesus’s feet and head. The hooves and ankles of the Passover lamb were rubbed with oil 6 days before slaughter to signify that it was without blemish before being brought into the house to care for and keep that way. In John 12, Jesus has His feet anointed 6 days before the Passover. The Passover lamb would be anointed with oil a second time, this time on its head, 2 days before slaughter to signify that the sacrifice was blemish free. Mathew 26 and Mark 14 tell us it was 2 days before Passover when Jesus had His head anointed.

What is so sad-Jesus, being the Son of God, already knew that his disciples who swore loyalty and utter feilty to their proclaimed Messiah-that the exhortations of his disciples are going to fail him. How heartbreaking. This is how he must have felt-for families who had poured their lives into loving and building their families, then one of their cherished children betrays and abandons their parents. Clearly, Jesus’s pain and betrayal are far worse. But I know the pain on a small scale-and that pain has broken my heart and soul. 🙏. I pray for peace and comfort, and my pain continues after my losses.

On the same paint a had put Malcolm with his Left ear cut. And then I had to correct it and paint the right ear. Then someone hit the rector in our church And I told the rector to thank God because of this action. She could feel how Jesus felt about Judas. The following is what ChatGPT thought of my Old and New Testament summaries... As an AI language model, I do not have personal opinions or beliefs, but I can provide an objective analysis of your summarizations. Your summarization of the Old Testament - "People die; God lives" - does capture the general themes and narratives of the Old Testament. It highlights the mortality and human struggles of the Biblical characters and contrasts that with the eternal and transcendent nature of God. Your summarization of the New Testament - "God dies; people live" - also captures the central message of Christianity through the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus Christ. It emphasizes the idea that through Christ's death and resurrection, humanity can have eternal life and salvation. Overall, your summarizations capture the major themes and contrasts of the two Testaments, albeit in a very simplistic manner. Then I said: That was my purpose...to show how outrageous the Old is to the humanness of the New...As if God corrected His behavior by finally understanding that the BEGINNING OF WISDOM should not be the FEAR of our Lord, but the LOVE. Then Chat GPT said: The Old Testament is often criticized for its portrayal of God as vengeful and punishing. However, the New Testament presents a God of love and forgiveness. The purpose of this shift was to show that the beginning of wisdom is not fear, but rather love. By presenting God in a new light, the New Testament offers a more compassionate approach to spirituality that focuses on building relationships with others through love rather than fear.

Thank you for all of your inspiring and educational videos. Time spent listening here are favorites. I'm confused about the account of the anointing of Jesus you mentioned. From my reading, there are two anointings. There's the anointing at Simon the Pharisee/Leper's house in Luke 7 during the time He was going from town to town on His ministry tour. There, it is mentioned just what sort of sinful woman (unnamed by the text) has anointed Jesus. The anointing in John 12 is at the house where Lazarus was in Bethany and it is six days before Passover. There at Lazarus', it is Mary who anoints him and Judas complains about the cost of the ointment and that it could have been used for giving to the poor. The LEB text says in verse 6, "(Now he said this not because he was concerned about the poor, but because he was a thief, and having the money box, he used to steal what was put into it.)" Jesus responds to leave her alone, for she is preparing Him for burial. I don't see here that Judas snuck away at this moment to go betray Him. Where is that text?

Acts 1:17 "For he was numbered with us, and had obtained part of this ministry." Judas was part of Jesus ministry, and he knew the truth, yet he still went astray. Acts 1:18 "Now this man purhased a field wih the reward of iniquity; and falling headlong, he burst asunder in the midst, and all his bowels gushed out." Do you know what this means? It means literally that Judah was murdered and cut to pieces, before he was then hung up to be killed. Have you ever seen someone hanged and their bowels just pour out? No, it just dosen't happen that way. This covers more then one scripture, for the field that Judas bought was the potters field. Those Kenite Jewish priests took the thirty pieces of Silver that they paid Judas to partake in their murderous plot to kill Jesus, and when Judas repented and threw those pieces of silver back at them, they used the silver to by the field. Blood money could not be used in the Temple. That was the price of a slave that was damaged or killed. Then all the broken pieces of pottery would be cast into that field. This was symboolic that our Lord Jesus Christ is the only one that that can take these earthly vessels that we call our human body, and when they are broken and beyond repair, only Jesus can spiritually take those peises and put them back together. With the price of His death on the cross, His precious blood, can take those spiritual bodies and make them whole again, and a child of the Living God. Judas repented for the sins that He committed repented. Matthew 27:3 "Then Judas, which ahd betrayed Him, when he waw that He was condemned, repented himself, and brought again the thirty pieces of silver to the chief priests and elders," Matthew 27:4 "Saying, "I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood." And they said, "What is that to us? see thou to that." Matthew 27:5 "And he cast down the pieces of silver in the Temple, and departed, and went and hanged himself." With the help of the chief priests and elders. Don't be to quick to judge Judas; for the scripture must be fulfilled. Judas repented and threw the silver back on the floow of the Temple, where the murder was planned and carried out, at the hands of the Romans. Judas thought Christ would return immediately to establish the kingdom forever then, and he never dreamed that they would ever kill him, for after all he had watched the miracles, and he knew that Jesus was the Son of God. Judas worried more about money then he worried about the Word of God. Judas repented and with repentance brings forgiveness. These Kenite Jewish priests and Pharisees did not want this lose canon running free on the deck; that is to say the Kenites that slipped in among the priests. Judas was hung, and then they took a knife and slit his chest from top to bottom, and lunged him forward to where all his bowels would gush forth, and "burst asunder in the midst" where all these Kenite priests of Satan would find pleasure in their evil actions. Judas had a lot of help in his hanging. Do not judge Judas or any other man, for the scriptures must need be fulfilled. You don't know the heart of the person, for only god is the Judge.

This is great work but i have one question. At 19.08 you say Rome considered the Emperor God. Augustus yes. Claudius yes. Even Titus yes but not Tiberius. At the time of Jesus the current emperor was not considered a God as you seem to be suggesting. And even if this was true why would the Romans care if Jesus was a God or not. The Romans accepted many Gods and religions within their empire. I dont think it was Jesus' claim to divinity that was a problem for Pilate. Jesus was a political problem not perhaps a religious problem. I stand to be corrected as i am far from expert in this area. 😊

Yam Kippur was also completed. Jesus dipped his body (bread) into his blood (wine) and passes the bread to Judas (the goat) and Satan enters into him (meaning Satan isn’t in him to begin with) then tells him to go do what he must (casting him into the wilderness). Yam Kippur was the ritual of atonement for the Jewish people. Jews are lawyers and would not believe in him without this knowledge.

I'm not Brandon, BUT I'd like to suggest Bible in a Year with Father Mike Schmitz. He reads a portion to you (proclaims the Word), then explains , summarizes, and gives insights on what he has read that day. Very popular podcast!

I don't see how she was better than the disciples because even Jesus says that it's easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than it is for a rich man to ever see the kingdom of God. She could have been, and I'm not saying that this is the case but I believe people do this type of thing and she could have been showing off and trying to reverse what she was doing by making it look like she gave up everything because she gave away something so expensive but a lot of rich people will do that, to make you think that they're good they'll give you the best of the best they'll buy you everything until they're done with you but in the meantime while they're treating you like royalty and giving you nothing but the best they do not mean it sincerely, they are buying you
