I think the Transfiguration DOES has something major to do with the story because it has the Father acknowledging that Jesus is Lord; but it's Dallas movie and his choice. I'm enjoying The Chosen anyway

my favorite moments of S4 was every time Thomas grieved over Remah. I love strong emotions in tv shows. I also relate to the INTENSE feelings of loss. I have lost 5 siblings and all of my great grandparents. I'm still excited to see angry Jesus >:) >:0 also I think it was Jonathan 6:40

maybe jenkins cant figure out how to do the transfigeration. its ok Dallas you made a wonderful story so far even though the transfigeration is amazingly wonderful to see Moses and Elijah talking to Jesus that Peter says that we should make monuments to the situation. ty Dallas for all your work

The Transfiguration is important for several reasons: again, only a few Disciples are witnesses; they are in the presence of Moses and Elijah; and most of all, they hear the Voice of God, calling Jesus His beloved son, saying that He was well pleased with His Son, and telling the disciples to listen to Him. The only other time God speaks is when Jesus was baptized.

The transfiguration is to me the most magnificent thing to happen when Jesus was here on earth. The only thing that beats that is his resurrection.

I can understand them not doing the transfiguration. This is because moments like that you can’t possibly put on screen it’s something so divine that you won’t be able to capture it anywhere near perfectly.

I wish the 40 day fast, Jesus encountering Legion, and the Transfiguration was included. I've always been iffy about "creative freedom" when trying to do movies based off stories from the Bible because I'm constantly reminded of this verse at the end of Revelation that warns against adding and taking away from the scriptures. Jenkins says the Transfiguration isn't important to the story. When did the Lord give us the right to water down His Word and remove things just because we don't think its important enough? I love the show. Really I do, but there was some cool stuff they could've explored and it wouldn't have harmed the overall story at all. If people want to use "creative freedom" as an excuse to have more control, then maybe make original Christian stories instead of watering down the story of Christ over and over again.

Edit: SPOILERS for season 4 I hope The point of Jesus saying to Thomas that "it's not her time yet" When he begged him to heal Rhama will be That we find out that she is in jerusalem with kafni waving leaves And that she was raised when Lazarus was and that the reasoning is so kafni will believe in Jesus and give the blessings for marriage. Also, that He could not heal a wound from a Roman sword in front of a Roman and pharisees Or they would want to make him an earthly king and ultimately believe and not crucify him. I know that it is not scriptural but they already went way off scripture with killing her And his lack of healing for her and I feel It is literally the only thing that could make sense of all of that and "its not her time" I really hope this is the case for the show.

Man, the Transfiguration would have been great to see on The Chosen. I would admit that I am disappointed, despite the show being great so far. It is still part of the story, part of the gospels. The show has been great showing Jesus’s human side as well as His divine side too. Showing Jesus resist Satan’s temptations would be have been good to see as well.

Love Dallas and what he’s done with this show, but how do you not see the importance of the transfiguration for the show? It’s Jesus showing Simon(Peter), James, and John who he is and standing with Elijah and Moses. Something that only the Son of God can do. That’s why The Lord said This is my Beloved Son who I AM Well Pleased.

I can't believe that Dallas would say that he doesn't understand why the Transfiguration would be important. I just don't believe that. But I wonder if he just doesn't know how to film that. This scripture passage is Jesus showing that He IS the fulfillment of the OT and He is the Messiah.

"What purpose would it serve our story?" I'm sorry, YOUR story? The transfiguration was a major moment in biblical history. You can't just skip over it because you didn't think it was important. How was it not important? This show is amazing, but I really question that choice. What else do they plan on leaving out?

Ending on Gethsemane is a powerful move. But it means you’ll open season 6 with the Crucifixion. It’s certainly a bold move. That leaves the rest of 6 for the resurrection and a few appearances, but are you gonna squeeze both Paul and martyrdoms into 7?

Why would he include Paul and martyrdoms? This is about the life of Jesus. Whole season 6 is crucifiction and season 7 is resurrection. That’s what he said.
