I don't go to Church on a regular basis. I sin. I work in my Financial Career wayyyy too much. I cuss too much. I have horrible habits. I'm often consumed by money and success. I watch things that I shouldn't. I don't read the Bible. Then, I heard about "The Chosen". I can't quit watching it! Jesus Christ was a REAL human who laughed, cried, danced, performed REAL and tangible miracles, led and taught people, and treated sinners and those less worthy with kindness and compassion. Because of Christ, I'm on a mission to lead a MUCH better life (for a thousand reasons). This series is REALLY helping me on my journey!!! 🙏

@@JezielProdigalSon - I kinda quit going to Church. Our Minister is 82-years old and has the ability to put you to sleep in less than 5-minutes. We spend half of the time standing and singing hymns. A big majority of people there are seniors looking for free coffee and cookies after the service (it's a social thing for them). I get almost nothing from Church. I pray all the time, I always try to help others out, etc., etc.

One thing I noticed watching this and reading the stories in the Bible. Jesus loved feasts and celebrations. He loved being around people and every time, it presented a teaching moment. Whether it was his followers or his critics. I need to start having more celebrations and feasts and having friends over to discuss the words of Jesus Christ! Think how awesome that would be. Good food, good company and the GOOD WORD!

the Scene with Jesus and Nicodemus has been the most emotional scene I had ever seen on film. I would love to have had Jesus put his arms around me as he did for Nicodemus. I couldn't stop crying. I pray the same, but I particularly hope and pray for the actors and crew who are upclose hearing the words being preached but don't believe. I know that there are people of different beliefs or non belief working on the show that may or may not realize the magnitude of the purpose of this show as outreach to spread the true Gospel by leading viewers to read the Bible, repent of sin, and believe Jesus as God Almighty in the flesh. I know they may hear of the stories/testimonies of how the show is impacting so many, but I pray that it will impact the non believers behind the scenes or in the crew and the actors to give their lives to Jesus Christ. "Let them that have an ear, Let them hear!!!!" I know they are doing their jobs, but I also believe it is not by accident that they are particularly playing these roles. I have to confess I stopped watching The Chosen after Season 2, because of the controversies with the show. I believe the Bible warns God fearing Christians that we are NOT to compromise with non believers or false teaching. We are most definitely called to love them and pray for them and let our lights shine before them but also to warn them in love of the truth and not give credence to falsehood. What lead me to start watching Season 3 honestly was the testimony of Nick Shakoour (Zebedee). His testimony moved me in a way that reminded me that God's grace is so powerful that He wants those of non beliefs or false beliefs to hear and come to the knowledge of the truth and come out of false doctrines. Let's pray that the cameraman who had the pride flag will truly give his life to Christ and the Harmon brothers and the other producers will hear the truth about mormonism and leave it. I pray those involved with Catholicism will hear the truth about it and leave it as well.

I am a retired Staff Scientist that worked 34 years as Research Scientist that invented new medical radiation detection technology and I now teach Science at a small Christian high school. The Chosen Season 1, Episode 7 and 8 was extremely emotional for me as a Christian. I really thought I knew The Bible, but there is so much that I missed about Scripture. I always knew Matthew was a Tax Collector and Peter was a fisherman, but the Wisdom of God through Jesus Christ is leaping off the pages because of The Chosen!! God needed Matthew because of his extreme intelligence and his command of at least 4 IMPORTANT LANGUAGES of the Day; Latin, Greek, Hebrew, and Aramaic! Peter was a brash fisherman that was strong, patient, and practical and very systematic and hard working. These skills were absolutely essential to earn a living as a fisherman and all of these were needed by Jesus mission to become fishers of Men! Incredible series so far and I absolutely LOVE the Pastor that offers explanatory Videos that supplement The Chosen such as "6 Things you May now know about Matthew"!! Wonderful job ANGEL STUDIOS you are furthering God's Kingdom in Ways you will never fully understand!!

This is a wonderful series, showing the life of our Savior, Jesus. Matthew is a tax collector, but he’s brilliant with numbers. He seems to have OCD. However, look how God used him. One of the 1st Gospels of the Bible is the book of Matthew. Regardless of our imperfections, and shortcomings, God gives us purpose in our lives. Here I am in the early, very early morning hours and I can't go to sleep because I keep telling myself I'll just watch one more episode and then close my eyes and sleep. Well I've been here before more than several times. I can't seem to stop until there's not another episode available! Good night this is ridiculous! I need to sleep! I was awakened at 3:00 this morning to pray and I'm a tired woman. Looks like I'm on the three A. M. prayer slot again until The Lord says different. I keep telling Him that I'm not my best at that time and that I need my sleep. But I need Jesus more. I love Him so much and it's an honor to worship Him and pray in the early hours when everyone around me is asleep and it's so quiet outside. I don't know how people can exist without The Lord as part of their lives. I love Him more every day. The more I understand His goodness and love and kindness and beauty, the list is endless, the more I want to know Him more and love Him more. Praise and honor and glory King Jesus! Hallelujah! Praise His name! Thank you for coming to this broken world and dying for the sins of the whole world to those who believe and receive Him. And for suffering so horribly for our health, pain and peace. WOW this is the best program I've ever watched! I just enjoy it so much! It makes me laugh and then weep. Just WOW!

@@no1huntsbetter I've been thinking the same thing. I've had a long hard climb and I know that The Lord has plans purposes and pursuits for me. I don't know what they are yet either. Maybe it's not His timing. Maybe I'm not ready. I can't imagine what I could possibly do for Him. I'm 65! I'm living in poverty, which isn't His will for His body. I have health issues, also not His will. But I know that if I keep waiting and learning and praying that it'll all come around right. There has to be some reason I'm still on the planet. I should have died so many times but He saved me. I'm so grateful for everything that I DO have! Alot of people have so much less. And when you have The Lord with you, well you've got the best of the best of everything. Some days it's hard to hold my head up. To face the day. But I don't want to let Him down. He didn't let me down. He never has. I have so much to learn. Things that I should have known for a long time. I've learned so much the past few years. Things about God, Jesus and The Holy Spirit that I never learned in church. I am behind but with God ALL things are possible. So I pray He will catch me up in supernatural ways. Time is running out. Watching Nicodemus at the well was so hard for me, I fear I'd have been just like him and turned my back on Jesus. His status and his wife's demands were too powerful for him to be able to follow his heart, to his eternal regret no doubt. I saw S3E5 last weekend now I'm watching the whole series again from the beginning, S1E1. It's even better this time through, I'm loving it and appreciating it even more knowing what's coming. Every episode turns me into a sobbing wreck. The people who're making this, Dallas and the crew, it's like God's directing it through Dallas. It's just miraculous - like God's known how far humanity would have drifted from the truth by 2023 and sent us this gift to penetrate our worldly distractedness and expand our shrivelled attention spans. I'm so grateful to be able to watch this over and over, don't have time for secular TV and movies any more.

❤Jesus nailed it. It was a masterful performance by the Master. This wonderful scene is about my favorite and one of the most popular and important verses in the bible, John 3:16. Jesus tells us how to be born again and Saved by GOD, by Doing His Will and BELIEVING In HIM, the SON of GOD, JESUS CHRIST as your Savior. This show. Shows us a messiah that is a real man that we can emulate. Other depictions of Christ are stoic non men that we wouldn’t even want to be like. Bless you for this. I watch whenever I need uplifted and I cry that this perfect man. God among us is shown to me. Thank you. I am not looking forward to the end however because I went to see the passion of the Christ but I can never watch that again. People need to realize the brutality of it. But I for one can’t see that again. It horrified me to my bone. Made me realize just how much he loved me for sure. But can’t see that twice.

I cry sometimes when I picture the absolute torture Jesus went through knowing he could stop it any moment but didn't. Humans didn't take his life (nothing on heaven or earth could) he literally gave it for us. I cry praying for forgiveness because all MY sins were on him that day. Literally blows my mind and hurts my heart to know I was part of the reason God turned his face away from Jesus because the sin he saw on him.

Something small I noticed but it is not really small is the way Jesus helps those that have fallen to their knees in reverence-those that are old and/or maybe not in the best condition, it is one of those little touches like reminding Simon the wedding was not HIS special day of how he thinks of others constantly and is so attentive to every need.

The way they paint the story of Nicodemus is so touching. His desire to be more than just a law-enforcer, his desire to be truly spiritual rather than just religious and to finally have the Messiah in front of him, tangible, all the questions he had/has/will have can finally be answered. But he has a life - "get up and go" is not a choice so easy and the way it rips at him when he doesn't follow? I cried, man.

He can’t just give up his life, his family and status as an important man among the Pharisees. He’s afraid of the consequences if the Sanhedreen and the Romans find out. To be outcast from your family and society then your synagogue was already a stumbling block from most of the Jews that time. Jesus understood that but I think his conviction to follow Jesus was still not a 100% that’s why he was still weary to give up all those things in his life, the privilege and status he’s enjoying. He wasn’t ready to give up everything to serve the Messiah in the open. He was a closet believer but it wasn’t enough and he knew it thus he cried bitterly.
