Entertainment journalist Kate O'Hare (that's me) talks to Roumie about the four-part docuseries, which takes viewers with him all around the world, as visits iconic sites in Rome, feeds refugees in Paris, speaks to fans on sidewalks and meets famous musicians of faith. Alice Cooper, Pope Francis, Sheila E., Brandon Flowers, Francis Chan and Matt Fradd are just some of the notable figures featured in the docuseries alongside Roumie.

I love spending time in "prayer land" as I call it, and it's good to hear how much you, Jonathan, depend on living in that land. Jonathan's sister, Olivia, being in the docu-series was one of my favourite parts of the whole thing. She's just as lovely and humble as he is. It was so clear that they share a deep, deep bond. HIs protectiveness of her here says a whole lot about him. What a profoundly beautiful soul.

I watched Jonathan and Jesus several months ago. It was wonderful to see Jonathan as himself. I loved how he is so down to earth, very humble, and still works as The maintenance person at his apartment complex. Watching him sweep the hallways showed that like all of us, he is a human being. Vanity is nowhere to be seen. And his family values are almost unheard of in this day and age. One thing for sure, Jonathan IS Jesus to millions of people. And I also have a copy of Jesus Revolution and I just love it. I was born in Oakland CA and I remember well the hippie movements of the 60s and 70s. Thank you Kate for your beautiful interview with Jonathan.

One thing I see in Johnathan, and that is Jesus. I have alwaya wanted people to see Jesus in me. That is what the Holy Spirit does in us, He changes us so the world sees Jesus and they are drawn to us. That's especially true of hurting people looking for an answer.

it is not uncommon for other denominations to accept the real presence in the eucharist I have raised a Lutheran and now joined rcia and through this journey, I learned that some lutherans believe in the presence in fact I just learned in rcia that there is a conference every year of Lutherans and Catholics and other denominations come together to talk about this subject.

I love Jonathan Roumie. He is a brilliant actor. They couldn't have picked a better person for the script. He seems like a very down to earth guy. The only thing that really disappointed me was when he said "Talking to Jesus, just being like, What's up yo???" Really Jonathan. You are talking to our Lord and Savior, not your cast member. Anyway, I respect him and how he chooses to be private regarding certain things. 💕

I know how this story ends but I sincerely hope the cast will continue to be active with the chosen comments and fandom for a long time...it's much to much a series that should ever be forgotten with time although I don't think it will. I just hate to see it end but unfortunately I know how it ends but I truly wish the entire cast the best because they shine, you see the glory all over their faces

Be nice if everyone understood 3 primary things: the first, no man should ever portray Jesus in any show or film, as it is a form of idolatry. The second thing, this man likely would not know this, because he is clearly Catholic, and most are instructed to not read their bibles personally. The 3rd thing is (ironically) this man never prays too or mentions Jesus. That would speak to him being Catholic, but I also think the man might think he’s actually Jesus. Frankly, I would consider this interview poor, because like most of them, no one bothers to ask him the tough questions. Stop following him. Stop. Watching. The. Chosen…

You are so wrong, my fellow lover of Jesus. Firstly. I am a lifelong Catholic and the very first thing I was taught as a child was to read the Bible. We had catechism, which was a Bible study and learning the tenets of the church. Jesus is my Lord, my Savior and my First Allegiance. Secondly, Jonathan Roumie mentions Jesus all the time in interviews and adores Him. He had a weekly online prayer meeting during the pandemic where he talked about his love of Jesus and invited everyone to pray to Jesus with him. He prays to Jesus before every day of filming of the Chosen. And how many times does he have to say "I am NOT Jesus" before people realize he knows he's a human being and an actor and he means what he is saying? I've heard him say it at least 50 times myself. You obviously know nothing about this man and are making snap judgments about him. Do you not see that you are judging another and you will be judged? Thirdly, this TV series is bringing millions of people all over the world to Christ. There have been conversions right on the set of the show as a result! God works through all things. Please open your eyes in love instead of condemnation.
