I root for Robert S. Pearson every year and a few episodes in I start to worry that he's gone too easy on them. This episode was a rollercoaster ride... and then it crashed and burned.

The fact they earned 2 crystals and the crack split twice at the end is making me think that the crystals are causing the crack to happen, and the fact Robert S Pearson is willingly giving out the doubles this early me and that the crystals might not be as helpful as they want you to belive!

I think Robert S Pearson is being too generous and needs to make the challenges harder... but either way I absolutely love this series I hope they keep this going every Christmas

​@@Stuffthatsfunny1 That's a bit harsh. I think it's an important factor that the challenges need to be fun and doable, otherwise it's not as fun for us to watch or for them to try. I feel he's been extra creative with the challenges this year, which is fun! We've also seen them be lucky, or have last minute clutches; it's just hard to estimate and balance. But there are some ways he could make it harder. Such as "when the timer runs out, you *can't* finish your run" or trying to make challenges with games that the team hasn't played yet 🤔 That being said, I've truly enjoyed the series again this year!

A christmas maze challenge never ends too late or too early - it ends precisely when it needs to!! 💙 The fact that each of these challenges often come down to the wire means that RSP & his elves have got the balance spot on!! The difficulty feels perfect to give some breathing room for the gang to have some fun & banter, while also have a lot of tension towards the end.
