Commonly subtitled "Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire," "The Christmas Song" is a holiday classic composed by vocalist Mel Tormé and songwriter Robert Wells. It was written during a blistering hot summer in an effort to "stay cool by thinking cool," as Tormé put it. Several artists, including Nat King Cole and Tormé himself, have released recordings of "The Christmas Song," and composer Craig Biondi has arranged his own version for solo saxophone and wind ensemble.
Performed by the Dallas Wind Symphony, taken from their album "Horns For The Holidays."
