Thanks for doing tag and the shout out. I had no idea The Birds was based upon a Daphne du Maurier story. I loved that movie. Beautiful edition of Carrie

Great Job Jen! I love Jane Eyre, such a dark gothic tale. I might just pick up House Of Leaves again sometime. Such a beautiful edition of Carrie!

Loved your video intro, I reckon it could have gone on for a little longer, very enjoyable. I haven't read any du Maurier, must get onto this, you have me very curious. Yes, I love all the Brontë sisters, & I need to reread 'Dracula' also. Love your take on the minor characters in these novels, 'bad' girls are fun. I love your sense of humour. I am about to read 'Misery', my first ever Stephen King, & I'm very excited. Thanks for the inspiration.

Thank you! I highly recommend du Maurier. Of course The Birds, but another of my favorite short stories of hers is Don't Look Now. I also highly recommend her novel Rebecca, especially if you're a fan of Jane Eyre. I hope you enjoy Misery. Thank you for watching!

I can't watch The Birds, I got traumatized by one scene about 8 years ago. I knew where you were going with Lucy and Bertha. House of Leaves sounds interesting, but I don't know if I could read the book in the way it's constructed. I'm not sure I'll get to this tag, but we'll see.

@@edlewisnoctreviews I totally understand about The Birds. My younger sister has a serious bird phobia.

Always appreciate the shout out. It’s a cool tag, and great answers. I’d like to try it too but given how far behind on tags I am it’d be Christmas 2026 by the time I get to it. I’m guessing that as a fan of the first Mrs Rochester you’ve read Wide Sargasso Sea? I read it for the first time earlier this year and enjoyed it a lot.
@literarylove123Ай бұрын
@@TheBookThing I still haven't read Wide Sargasso Sea, but it's on my endless TBR. I'm going to add it to my 25 books in 2025 list.
