When we, my granddaughter & self did a LOT of camping, I had a box built into back of Nissan truck bed but this is best I've seen. It worked for me at the time so all I needed to do was load a tote with the food & we were out the door to go to work then from there, we headed out for a long weekend adventure.👍😎
@StaceyBillsAdventures3 жыл бұрын
I think the neatest thing is it's packed and ready to go, before we always forgot stuff and it took a bit to get everything gathered up, as we camp more I have bought things exclusively for the chuck box so that helps too, but in the beginning we were always forgetting things, now we grab and go!

I have had the exact same box for over twenty years now. It went by a different name back then. It has held up well all this time. The box has made kitchen organization very easy. I bought it for about $125 back then from an Outfitters store in Bishop, CA. I understand it retails now for $299.

Thank you for this video! You answered all but one question I have about this. I have the same double burner stove but from the image on your video and photos on the website I am not sure where the propane canister would sit, or would it have to hang from the side? I really do like this box and your video sold me on it! Thank you again😁
@StaceyBillsAdventures3 жыл бұрын
The base where you can cook is 22x13, if you have the dual burner coleman style like this amzn.to/3rzP79A the propane tank would hang off the side. Ours is the single and we use butane canisters that sit inside the stove's body. I hope that helps - Bill :)

We’ve had ours for about 3 years. It’s great and can hold a lot. The utensils drawer isn’t the best. It gets stuck when trying to pull out and now it just falls down.
@StaceyBillsAdventures3 жыл бұрын
Our utensil drawer was a bit sticky i actually ran some drylube spray up under the lip of the drawer itself so it moves more freely, but so far we haven't had it leaning or falling downward, I wonder if you contacted them if they would send you another drawer?

Honestly, I kind of like it sitting on the bottom now! I got so tired of having to use two hands to pull the drawer out when I’m cooking. Sometimes I have raw chicken residue on one hand and need to grab a pair of tongs! It’s a great setup for us.
@StaceyBillsAdventures3 жыл бұрын
@@reginayanito9143 it actually very comfortable. Bill would never sit on it but it's the perfect height for me lol. The drawer is still stiff, keep hoping it will bet better.

Every video I’ve seen of this box the silver ware drawer appears to be a mess. By that i mean it doesn’t seem to fit well or nest in its place well. Am I wrong? I see she had to push down on the top to get it out.

Looks like a great box and the price? Well, it wasn't manufactured overseas with child or slave labor, so for a built in the USA product, I would pay $300+ for it. We are going to have to realize that there is a price difference in supporting Made In The USA products. Besides that, it comes with a Lifetime Warranty. Buy once, cry once. (Liked and Subscribed) 🙂
@StaceyBillsAdventures3 жыл бұрын
Ironically we had tried to adapt bins and boxes and whatnot without much success, this is packed right now in the garage to GO that part i love the most, I do wish there was a mini version more for solo camper trips since I sometimes go alone and could go with about half the size of this, but for a family or couple it's darn nice to get everything in one container, sturdy too stacey sits on it all the time actually hehe.

@charlesstevenson51412 жыл бұрын
Nifty box. Like the idea of it being plastic rather than wood to make it lighter in weight but they would have to come up with a different design. For me, the top part would be rendered useless as I do all my cooking (even non traditional camping meals) over an open fire with a Dutch oven and griddle. No propane or stove. Guess I'm gonna just have to bite the bullet, buy a Roam case and modify it accordingly. Can't really justify the cost for it to only have one use.
@carmenmartinez2882 Жыл бұрын
Just remember there are fire bans these days in many many places, you best be prepared to get a canister stove as a back up.
@matthewheinecke26213 жыл бұрын
This was a well done and informative video, so take my next comment with a grain of salt. It seems to me you're still digging a bit. It seems to me a $50 storage locker from Academy and some organizational bins from a dollar store will get you to the same point much cheaper. Just my opinion which isn't worth much. To each their own though. So many of these things are preference or dependent upon each person's own setup.

Not really, have you checked prices on similar boxes? I mean with built in dividers, drawers, space for your double burner stove and even the lid out completely to wash or transport things? I don’t think you have because they’re actually more expensive and most of them heavier which means you’re carrying more weight and using more gas.
