The Halley's Comet was the Biblical Star of Bethlehem - Colombian Arithmetic Reconciliation Between History and Astronomy Author Kevin Artemo Casanova Santini González, from Cali, Colombia. In my arithmetic reconciliation between history and astronomy (23-VIII-2018), I found that Halley's comet is the same Biblical Star of Bethlehem. Going back in time with periods of 76.03 years, since 1066 when William the Conqueror spotted the comet, I found that the comet had its perihelion in year 1 of the Christian era and in the year 837 a.D., in the time of King Louis I. We are currently in the year 2016 (2024) because there is an (eight-years) error in many of the allocations of historical dates, because dates were always calculated based on periods of 76 years. But the exact period of Halley 's comet is 76.03 years. Going back in time with exact periods of 76.03 years, from the last perihelion of Halley's Comet in 1986 to the oldest record (China 2290 BC), it is observed that the perihelion of the year 1074 a.D corresponds to the historical sighting recorded with date 1066 a.D (when Halley's Comet was observed in Normandy and England by William the Conqueror) giving rise to a current accumulated difference of eight (8) years, between the date of historical record (1066) and the date that is supposed to correspond to the exact perihelion (1074). Therefore, if those eight (8) years of difference are subtracted or subtracted from the date of the last perihelion of the year 1986, we obtain that the year 1986 should be the year 1978. Taking the exact year 1978 as a starting point and Going back in time (subtracting or subtracting) with exact periods of 76.03 years, it is observed that Halley's Comet had its correct perihelion in the year 1066 or 1065 (when it was sighted by William the Conqueror), it also coincides with the historical record from the year 837 when it was sighted by King Louis I (the Pious), reported by a chronicler called "the Astronomer", but also and most importantly, it can be observed that Halley's Comet had its perihelion in the first year, or year one (1) of the Christian Era or time after Christ a.D. Halley's Comet is the same biblical star of Bethlehem that announced the birth of the Messiah, prophesied in the biblical books of the Old Testament (Numbers 24:17, and Daniel). Yeshúa or Jesus or The Messiah, or the Savior God for all the peoples of the world according to the biblical book of the New Testament (Matthew 2: 1-10) or "Jesus the Nazarene King of the Jews", of which it was known from ancient times oral tradition that he would be known as "the Nazarene" (Matthew 2:23), he was born in Bethlehem but lived in Nazareth, and at the time of his crucifixion, his name was written on the cross by order of Pilate as: ישוע הנצרי ומלך היהודים Iesvs Nazarenvs Rex Ivdaeorvm ΙΗΣΟΥΣ Ο ΝΑΖΩΡΑΙΟΣ Ο ΒΑΣΙΛΙΑΣ ΤΩΝ ΙΟΥΔΑΙΩΝ ( ὁ βασιλεὺς τῶν Ἰουδαίων ) Jesus the Nazarene King of the Jews or ( YHVH ) Yeshua Hanotzri (Hanetzarin) Vemelej Hayehudim, or ( INRI ) Isevs Nazarenvs Rex Ivdaeorvm, is the same ישוע הנצרי ומלך היהודים ( יהך ה ) , the God of Abraham, of Isaac, of Israel (Jacob)

I respect your opinion and appreciate your detailed description, and I don't doubt your dating. However, the Bible describes the Bethlehem star as a phenomena that moved with such precision that it guided the Magi to a specific building. Spectacular though it may be, I don't see a comet being capable of matching that description. I believe the Bethlehem star was a supernatural light, not something that can be identified or even described in astronomy. Somehow, in a story involving a virgin birth, multiple angelic visitations, and clear prophetic fulfillments, I'm not sure why the star needs a naturalistic explanation. 😉

@@midwestmatthew9752 Thank you very much for your cordial opinion. I do not look for scientific explanations for the biblical stories and I did not look for what the star of Bethlehem was. I was looking for a scientific explanation (mathematical, astronomical and historical) regarding how correct or wrong is the German theory of "Ghost Time" that supposes that 297 false years have been added to universal history. To find a scientific answer, I made a database in Excel with the historical records of the sightings of Halley's Comet, the calculation of the perihelion dates, and I found that: 1) The German theory of Phantom Time is not correct because it does not there is a gap of 297 years in the historical sightings of Halley's Comet. 2) This same Halley's comet had its perihelion in the year 1 AD. and not in the year 12 BC. Taking into account that the comet did this event and that the comet also stops in the sky when it reaches its perihelion point, I conclude that it was undoubtedly the star of Bethlehem.
